Тип урока: комбинированный (урок закрепления изученного учебного материала и ознакомления с новыми лингвострановедческими реалиями)

Методы обучения: ИКТ, наглядно-иллюстративный, демонстрационный, репродуктивный.

Цели:

- образовательные (познавательные): познакомить учащихся с Британской королевской семьей, получение новой информации и расширение кругозора учащихся; знакомство с генеалогическим древом королевской семьи;

- воспитательные: воспитывать у учащихся уважительное отношение к культуре и истории страны изучаемого языка; становление межкультурной компетенции через приобретение новых лингвострановедческих знаний;

Формирование УУД:

личностные – формирование положительного отношения к учебе и развитие мотивации к дальнейшему изучению английского языка;

регулятивные - планировать свои действия в соответствии с поставленной задачей; адекватно воспринимать предложения и оценку своих одноклассников в процессе работы в паре и группе;

познавательные - извлекать информацию, представленную учителем в заданиях; использовать визуальные и лексические опоры для решения учебной задачи;

коммуникативные - участвовать в работе пары и группы; распределять роли, договариваться друг с другом и приходить к общему решению в совместной деятельности;

Оборудование: презентация «Королевская семья», видео поздравление Королевы 2019, раздаточный материал.

Ход урока

I. Начало урока.

1. Организационный этап.

Well. So today we’ll speak about a family, but this family is unusual. This family is famous all over the world. Look at the blackboard. The topic of our lesson is “THE ROYAL FAMILY” (Слайд 2) We’ll speak about members of THE ROYAL FAMILY, family tree, read a text and make a crossword.

The British Royal Family

At present the British royal family is headed by Queen Elizabeth. When the Queen was born on the 21st of April 1926, her grandfather, King George V, was on the throne and her uncle was his heir. The death of her grandfather and the abdication of her uncle brought her father to the throne as King George VI. Her mother was Queen Elizabeth (the late Queen Mother.). Elizabeth has got a sister Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, is well-known for her charity work.

Queen Elizabeth II has got a large family. Their surname is Windsor.As a child she studied constitutional history and law as well as art and music. In addition she learned to ride and acquired her enthusiasm for horses. As she grew older she began to take part in public life, making her first broadcast at the age of 14.

The marriage of the young Princess Elizabeth to Philip, Duke of Edinburgh took place in November 1947. She came to the throne after her father's death in 1952 and was crowned in Westminster Abbey in June 1953. Prince Philip helps the Queen in her Royal Duties: gives interviews, works with lots of charity organizations, travels around the UK and abroad with the Queen and alone. He is interested in animals, science, technology. He also likes sports.

The Queen's heir is Charles, Prince of Wales, who was born in 1948, married Lady Diana Spencer and has two children, Prince William and Prince Harry. The Prince of Wales is well-known as a keen promoter of British interests.

In recent years he has become outspoken on such controversial topics as modern architecture, violence in films and on television, and the standard of English teaching in schools. His wife Diana, Princess of Wales (often called in mass media Princess Di), won the affection of many people by her modesty, shyness and beauty. Unfortunately, she died in a car accident in August, 1997.

The Queen's other children are Princess Anne (born in 1950), Prince Andrew (born in 1960) and Prince Edward (born in 1964). Anne, Princess Royal, has acquired a reputation for being arrogant, but in recent years has become quite popular with the general public.

The Queen is widely known for her interest in horses and horse-racing. She is now president of the Save the Children Fund, Chancellor of the University of London and carries out many public engagements.

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, served as a helicopter pilot in the Royal Navy. In 1986 he married Miss Sarah Ferguson (Fergie, for short) and has two daughters.

Prince Edward is keen on the theatre. This interest began while he was at university. He quit the Royal Marines, and is now pursuing a career with a theatrical company.

The Queen Mother, the widow of the late King George VI, celebrated her one hundred birthday in 2 000 and died in 2002.

Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales

His full name is Charles Philip Arthur George, he is the eldest son of the Queen. He was born on the 14 th of November 1948.

He was married twice. His first wife was lady Diana Spencer (Princess Diana). They married in 1981 and had two sons. But they divorced in 1996. Princess Diana was loved by all the British, but she tragically died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

Prince Charles’ second wife is Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall, they married in 2005.

Princess Diana and Prince Charles had two sons. The oldest is Prince William ( born 1982) and Prince Harry (born 1984)

The Princess Anne, Royal Princess

Her full name is Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise. She was born on the 15 th of August 1950. She is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince Andrew Duke of York

His full name is Andrew Albert Christian Edward. He was born on the 19 th of February 1960.

His full name is Edward Antony Richard Louis. He was born on the 10 th of March 1964.
