2. The Hawaii Islands is the fifties and most exotic state of the United States of America.

3. The archipelago consists of 8 main islands (without counting smaller ones) which are tops of a circuit of volcanic mountains. Among them there are active volcanoes.

5. There is everything on the Big Island from tropical beaches up to subarctic tops of Mauna Loa, it has 2 active volcanoes on its territory. Most known of them – a volcano of Kilauea, the youngest of the Hawaiian. Only here, following on a special foot path, it is possible to see lava which is running out of a crater and flowing down into the sea.

8. Strips on the flag of this state symbolize eight Hawaiian Islands. Colors of the flag reflect the colors of the flag of the USA. In the left top corner of the flag there is the small flag of Great Britain that symbolizes friendship of the state of Hawaii with the United Kingdom.

11. Many people believe that there is no any place on the Earth that can be compared with the Hawaii. The islands are beautiful not only on the ground, but also under water. Huge marine turtles, electric slopes, coral small fishes annually attract millions of visitors.

15. Some facts about Hawaii. The Hawaiian Governors have never been despots, they only tried so that usual people would live properly. The Governors were known as brave soldiers and strong persons. And their right was justified by their love to people, as well as by strength of their predecessors.

16. Practically it is impossible to visit Hawaii and not to take pleasure in local musical traditions. You can take pleasure in fine bewitching sounds of ukulele (the Hawaiian guitar) and visit one of the hundreds of concerts and spend a day off.

17. The Hawaiian alphabet consists only of 12 letters: a, e, h, I, k, l, m, n, o, p, u, w, in other words 5 vowels and 7 consonants. The traditional greeting on the Hawaiian is “Aloha!” – that came into numerous languages of the world. The vowel sounds of the Hawaiian language are similar to similar sounds of Russian: a, е, i, o, u. In. So, the words both are read as they are written.

It is produced out of local flowers and plants. It was a distinctive sign of the Hawaiian earlier. Garlands for governors were produced from the rare plants growing in the remote areas of the islands. May, the 1st of is a holiday of leys. The governor of state of Hawaii can put a flower garland on special public occasion. The beauty and an atmosphere of the Hawaiian islands, sincerity and kindness of local residents – everything is shown with garlands. When visiting islands, you can see everywhere the tents with flower garlands. If you never ever were given a garland or present it to someone, try to do this according to this fine ancient tradition.

21. Hula, the soul of the Hawaii is expressed in movements. During old times the dance accompanied the main religious holidays. In movements the actor can mime the movements of plants, a life of ocean, mountains, the ground and the sky. The term the “HULA” means « burning of internal fire ». By means of this dance the Hawaiians express pleasure and love to a life.

22. Fantastic landscapes of the islands allow directors to shoot surprising films, let us give the names of several well – known movies: “ Water World “, “Pearl Harbor”, “Georges from Jungle”, "Jurassic park", “Indiana Jones: in searches of the Lost Ark” and others.
