First of all, let us guess what the topic of our lesson we are going to have. So, the short video will help us in this task. You should watch it attentively and name all the countries that will be mentioned there

At the previous lesson, we spoke about cultural activities. Please, name some of them.

How do you think, can we refer Seeing the world to cultural activities?


So our topic today is “Seeing the world” and today we are going to talk about holiday activities and holiday problems. We will learn and practice new vocabulary on the given topic, talk about travelling experiences, predict the content of the text and read it for gist and then for specific information, revise our grammar “The past progressive tense”, then work in groups writing a short account of the story based on a listening task.



Now we are going to get acquainted with some words related to travel experiences.

Look at the screen and repeat some phrases after me.

Now, open your books at page 26, Ex.1. Look through the pictures and complete the sentences under the pictures. I give you 1 minute to do the task.

Now, let’s talk about your travelling experiences. Have you had any of these experiences while travelling? Work in pairs, please (shoulder partner)

I was travelling in Ecuador and I decided to go on a kayaking trip. At first it was great then the river started moving faster. My kayak hit a rock and I fell out into the river. Suddenly, I saw a crocodile in the water; it was swimming closer to me. I was screaming. Then I realized it was just a brunch. I was so relieved.
