Тип урока:урок применения знаний и умений в монологической и диалогической речи.


Цели урока:


1.Обучающая: повторение и закрепление активной лексики, формирование коммуникативной культуры школьников, развитие монологической и диалогической речи, развитие аудио - фонематических навыков учащихся.


2. Развивающая: развитие коммуникабельности, самостоятельности, умения сотрудничать, развитие способности к логическому изложению.


3.Воспитательная: воспитание положительного, уважительного отношения к культуре и языку Великобритании, воспитание убеждённости в том, что следует заниматься спортом и следует следить за своим здоровьем.



Оборудование: ноутбук, карточки, презентация, фотографии, разноцветные кольца, тексты для чтения, видео.



ХОД УРОКА


1.Введение учащихся в тему урока: Listen to the poem.

Today we’ll speak about sport and also we’ll do many different exercises.

Now captains introduce yourselves and explain the names of your teams.

(The 1st team- “Golden Fish”, the 2nd team- “Golf”. )

1). Listen to the first task. Now you must name words on topic “Sport”.

Listen to my short stories and tell what kinds of sport they are.


It’s one of the most popular kinds of sport. Both boys and girls, men and women like this sport. It’s very beautiful. You can hear wonderful music and watch skating. What sport is it?

(Figure skating)

This ball game is very popular in Great Britain and in Ukraine too. It’s usually played by two players, sometimes four at a table. They hit a small ball with a racket over a net. The game is played outdoors and indoors too.

( Table-tennis)

This ball game is very popular not only Great Britain, but all over the world. It’s usually played by boys and men. Each team has 11 players (backs, halfbacks, centre forwards and one goalkeeper).

( Football)

It’s much more dangerous than ice-skating. You have to wear protective clothes like a helmet, knee pads, gloves.

(Ice-hockey)

The first time I did this exercise to the music, I felt very shy. But pretty soon I just wanted to carry it on.

(Aerobics)

This is a ball game. It is played outdoors by teams of 15 players. They use an oval ball. The players of the other team try to stop the man and take away the ball from him. This game is usually played by men only.

(Rugby)

10). Read the text “A Real Sports Star”


The other day I went to see Jim, an old friend of mine, at home in Bucclench place. When I rang the bell, his wife answered the door and said that Jim was in sitting room playing chess. I took a step back, intending to go away, but she said I should not worry about that and asked me to go right in. I did as she told me. What I saw there made me utter a cry of surprise… There was Jim sitting at the head of the table and facing him was his dog Spot. Between them there was a chess board. Their eyes were fixed on it. There was no doubt about it; they were concentrating on their game.

At the sound of my voice, Spot began wagging his tail but as to Jim, I must admit, he was perfectly calm, though he must have heard me and seen me out of the corner of his eye. “Spot is a real sports star” I remarked. “ You have got a top-ranked athlete here!” “Not at all”, answered Jim absent-mindedly.

“ He is a pathetics loser-he has just lost his third!”



11).The next task is following: you must ask questions to the opposite group and they will answer on them.


Who does not live in Bucclench Place? (The storyteller doesn’t live in Bucclench Place.)

Who opened the door to the storyteller? (Jim’s wife opened the door to the storyteller.)

What was Jim doing? (Jim was playing chess. )

What surprised the storyteller when he entered the sitting room? (Jim was playing chess with his dog Spot.)


12). Развитие навыков диалогической речи.

Read the information and make-up the interview with a basketball player o’ Neil. Marina’s team will be the journalist and Lera’s team will be o’ Neil.


Text. An athlete, an actor, a rapper and a basketball superstar. First, the interviewer asked when Shaquille got interested in basketball. Before he could answer, he asked who taught him to play. Shaq, as friends call him said that he had started to play basketball at 13. His PE teacher advised him to take this sport. The interviewer wondered, why the teacher had chosen basketball for him. Shaq laughed and said that he had always been a giant. (Now he is 2 metres 10 cm tall and he weighs 140 kg.) The interviewer asked the athlete what University he had played for and what the name of his first team was. The superstar answered that a first he had played for Loisina University and his first team had been “Orlando Magic”. But Shaq became internationally famous as a member of “The Dream Team 2”. The interviewer asked the sportsman if he could tell the reader about his game with the team “Los Angeles Lakers”. The sportsman was pleased to say that he had been playing for that team for 7 years and got 120 million dollars. It was the biggest deal in the history of sports. But it was he who led “Los Angeles Lakers” to four championship titles.

I want to invite you to take part in the Olympic Games. We’ll have three rounds. 1- The Olympic Rings! 2- The symbols of the Olympic Games! 3- The story of the Olympic Games!


So, the first round “The Olympic Rings!”Put down the rings in the right order. (Детям предлагается расположить разноцветные кольца в правильном порядке, чтобы получилась главная эмблема Олимпийских Игр.)


The second-look at the symbols of the Olympic Games and name the country of each symbol.

(The rings symbolise: Blue- Europe

Yellow- Asia

Black- Africa

Green- Australia

Red- America. )
