1. Organization moment.

2. Give words for every student. Students should make up a sentence and guess the word. (television)

Ask students the theme of the lesson. I`ll speak about WALT.

3. Divide into 2 groups according to the pictures. 1st group- TV shows, 2nd group – TV channels. Students find their seats. Who will be your leader?

4. Give 2 TV boxes. They should complete their TV boxes with good news.

I`ll explain them how to assess them (with microphone). Red microphone – 5. Blue microphone – 4. Yellow microphone – 3.

Middle

1. Watch a video. After watching video ask questions. What about this video? How much time do you watch TV? What TV channels do you see? What TV programmes do you like?

2. Group work. Give two groups pictures according to the video. Every group should complete the names of TV shows. Then give it to each group and check their writing.

3. Look at the active board. Matching TV shows with definitions. Every student should write it individually. They should write it to their copybook.

4. Acting. One student will be a journalist from Kazakh news. She will ask some questions about Kazakhstan by using video. 5 questions. (Video is done by teacher and students) What kind of show is it? It is “quiz show”.

5. Role play. I`ll give two groups the names of shows. 1. musical show. 2. meeting with a star. Students will act the show. Success criteria:

1. give 3 minutes.

2. Take part all students.

6. Reading the text. After reading the text every group make up 3 questions to each other. Then answer the questions.

1. 1st group – write advantages of watching TV.
