ЦЕЛЬ УРОКА: Развивать иноязычную коммуникативную компетенцию.

Задачи:.

Образовательная : познакомить учащихся с особенностями работы журналиста, дать понятие политкорректности, активизировать известную лексику по теме в речи; развивать навыки просмотрового чтения, употреблять в речи местоимений "whenever", "whatever" и т. д.; развивать навыки диалогической речи.

Развивающая: формировать у учащихся способность использования новой информации, умение конструировать ментальные представления.

Воспитательная цель: воспитывать уважение к работе репортера.

Учебно-коммуникативные задачи:

читать текст с целью извлечения конкретной информации;

расспросить одноклассника о его отношении к профессии телеведущего;

обсудить с одноклассниками, насколько опасна профессия журналиста.

Ход урока

Организационный момент ( 1m.) Постановка цели и задач урока. Мотивация учебной деятельности учащихся

— Good morning, my dear friends. Let s start our work. Who is on duty today? Who is absent today? How are you? What is the date? Are you ready to our lesson? At last lesson we spoke about Mass Media we discussed different newspapers, magazines, we listened the dialogue between two pupils. And today we are going to learn new words and expressions, practice new vocabulary, ask and answer some questions, read the text and discuss the information.

_II. Введение в тему урока (3m.) Look at the screen and watch the video. Now tell me please what we are going to talk about? About whom will we talk today? (Заставка передачи НТВ «Профессия-репортер») –ученики дают свои ответы). P1P2P3

We are going to talk about a job of a reporter. And the topic of our discussion is “ Is being a reporter a dangerous job?”( слайд 4)

T: you are right

Teacher: What associations do you have when you hear the word REPORTER? Write your association on the board in one word! (А какие ассоциации возникают у вас со словом РЕПОРТЕР)? (на доске вертикально написано слово REPORTER, учащиеся выходят к доске и записывают слова-ассоциации, начинающиеся с первой буквы слова репортер Например:

Расширение лексического запаса (7m.)

Teacher: All of you have different associations with this word but what is a reporter? What does he do? (У каждого из вас возникают разные ассоциации со словом репортер, а кто такой репортер, чем он занимается (дети высказывают свои мнения).

Students: A reporter works on TV. He or she tells us about important news. They inform us.

Teacher: Let’s check our guessings. Look at the screen. The Longman dictionary gives the following definition of the word REPORTER (А вот как дается определение РЕПОРTЕР словаря Логман)- reporter [countable]- someone whose job is to write about news events for a newspaper, or to tell people about them on television or on the radio.(учащиеся читают определение с экрана).(слайд 5)

Teacher: We are right, aren’t we?

It is high time to discuss reporter `s personal traits. You have a lists of adjectives on your tables. Let`s read them and translate. Pay attention on your pronunciation. .

( hardworking, reliable, talented, energetic, active, responsible, skilful, strong-willed, adventurous, admirable, confident, honest, optimistic, qualified, educated, well-known, curious, romantic, sensible, tolerant, cynical, investigative, rude, shy, foolish, envious, boring, ordinary, indifferent, quick-tempered, slow-coach, timid, fearful, hypocritical, evil, tactless). (учащиеся читают слова сначала за учителем, затем друг за другом и переводят)

Choose adjectives from this list which describe best reporter`s personal traits (слайд 6 )

Teacher: What are your opinions? What is the most important personal trait for a reporter? Make a list from the 10 most important traits to the least one. (А как вы думаете, какое качество из выбранных вами самое главное в этой профессии, давайте составим рейтинг, выберем самое, на ваш взгляд, значимое) (Учащиеся ранжируют прилагательные.)

T: Now look at the screen and fill in the gaps (go to the board one by one) Why a reporter should be ? (Работа на маркерной доске) (слайд 7-11)

IV. Проверка домашнего задания (6m.) — What job is connected with the media?

Of course, it is a commentator, a TV or radio host/hostess, a journalist, a correspondent and a reporter. Let's discuss them. You should do ex. 50 on p. 73.at home. Let s play the game «Interview». One of you, called a reporter, will ask these questions to the classmate. The classmate will answer them.

V. Обучение речи (7m.)

T: — I can say that the language of reporters is grammatically correct and tactful.

— You know, speaking about different people and things you must be politically correct. What does it mean?

Read the information in ex. 51, p. 73. Now try to give correct answers to the questions.

Keys: a) elderly people; b) size-friendly clothes; c) special people.

T: — Now we should find out what people of different professions do?

For example, teachers? (Teachers teach people.)

— What is the result of their work? (The result is clever pupils.)

— Look through the words in ex. 52, p.,73. Put them into two Columns like in the table. Now listen to the tape and check your answers.

- I see that you are tired. Let's have a rest.

T: If you were a reporter, you would have a lot of daily problems. Here is a list of typical reporter`s problems. Choose the two most serious ones. Give your reasons: ex.58 p.74

VI. Физкультминутка ( видео зарядка) Now it’s time to have a rest. Are you tired? (1 min).

VII. Развитие речевых навыков ( 6 min.)

Now we are going to learn to use some pronouns. Study ex. 56 on p. 74.

- Do ex. 57, p. 74. Translate the sentences into Russian. Примерный ответ:

Когда бы ты ни пришел к нам, мы будем рады видеть тебя.

Куда бы они ни отправились, их знание английского хорошо им помогает.

VIII. Обучение чтению (10min.)

- Do you want to know about people working in the media? Then read the text in ex. 53, p. 73. Give it a title. ("Why Do They Do It?" ("Is It a Dangerous Job ?").)

- Why do journalists and photographers put themselves in dangerous situations? Discuss the problem working in groups of 3—4. Think of more reasons than in ex. 54, p. 73.

Now if you are ready share your reasons with the other students. Make a list of most important reasons and less important ones.

IX. Подведение итогов урока. Рефлексия ( 3m.).Использование метода синквейна. Making the conclusion I want you make up a thinkway poem about dangerous job of reporters. Look at the screen and see the plan

Составление синквейна.

1строка – название темы.

2 строка – описание темы (2 прилагательных).

3 строка – характеристика темы через действие (3 глагола).

4 строка – фраза, выражающая отношение автора синквейна к теме.

5 строка – одно слово-синоним к теме.
