  • Sandwich - a kind of food consisting of two pieces of bread with a filling between them.

  • Omelette - a dish of beaten eggs cooked in a frying pan and served plain or with filling.

  • Ice cream - a soft, sweet food made with milk and cream and typically flavoured with vanilla, fruit, or other ingredients.

  • Chips - pieces of deep-fried potato.

  • Tea - a hot drink, which English people have at 5 o’clock

  • Salad - a cold dish of various mixtures of raw or cooked vegetables, usually seasoned with oil or mayonnaise and sometimes accompanied by meat, fish, or other ingredients.

  • Pizza - a dish of Italian origin, made of a flat round base of dough baked with a topping of tomatoes and cheese, typically with added meat, fish, or vegetables.

  • Pudding - a dessert with a soft or creamy consistency.

  • Filling - a mixture of soft ingridients that fills or is used to fill something, for example sandwich.

From the name of this man comes the word sandwich today.

Now a lot of people in England eat sandwiches for their lunch. There are lots of sandwich shops in London. Here you can buy all sorts of sandwiches. You can get meat sandwiches, or salad sandwiches, or meat-and-salad sandwiches. And you can get cheese, egg or fish sandwiches. You can even buy fruit sandwiches. Lots of people in the world like sandwiches, but some don't.

«Spring salad».

Ingridients:

2 boiled eggs

  1. Wash cucumbers, radish and spring onions and dry them well.

  2. Peel the eggs very carefully.

  5. Chop cucumbers, radish and spring onions. Add these ingredients to the eggs.

  6. Add mayonnaise. Mix the eggs, radish, cucumbers, spring onions and mayonnaise together.

  7. Add some salt and pepper.





















Cheese omlette.

Ingridients:

3 eggs

1 tablespoon of milk

50 grams of cheese

1 tablespoon of oil

Salt, pepper

  1. Wash eggs carefully and dry them well.

  2. Shake eggs and milk in the bowl.

  3. Add salt and pepper to the mixture.

  4. Grate 50 grams of cheese.

  5. Heat the frying pan.

  6. Put eggs and milk mixture into the pan.

  7. Add cheese when the eggs are almost ready.



Banana cocktail.

Ingredients:

2 bananas

100 grams of ice cream

1 glass of milk

1 tablespoon of sugar

Vanilla and cinnamon

  1. Peel the bananas and chop them.

  2. Put bananas, milk, ice cream and sugar into a bowl.

  3. Shake the ingredients with a blender.

  4. Pour the cocktail into glasses.

  5. Add vanilla and cinnamon.

  6. The cocktail is ready.



Fruit sandwich.

Ingredients:

150 grams of cottage cheese

4 pieces of bread

2 kiwi fruits

2 mandarins

  1. Peel the kiwi fruits and mandarins.

  2. Chop the kiwi fruits into pieces.

  3. Separate mandarins into segments.

  4. Put the cottage cheese on the sliced bread.
