1. Введение в тему

 Let us start our lesson (разминка), let us play the game «Reporter». Please answer my questions:

1. Hello! What is your name?

OK, thank you for answers.  

Дети, сегодня мы поговорим с вами о числах. Мы уже знаем  много слов по различным темам. Сегодня я ознакомлю вас с образованием множественного числа существительных в английском языке.

1. Тематический блок

Множественное число имен существительных в большинстве случаев образуется при помощи окончания -s.

a desk, a pig, a rabbit, a dog, a frog

desks, pigs, rabbits, dogs, frogs

a car, a farm, a cup

cars, farms, cups

Если существительные в единственном числе окачиваются на буквы s, ss, x, sh, ch, tch, то во множественном числе добавляется окончание -es.

Box, fox, dish, watch, bus, bench

Boxes, foxes, dishes, buses, benches

Если существительное оканчивается на

– o, то: добавляется окончане s/-es

Если существительное оканчивается на

-y , то: Окончание “-y” после согласных изменяется на “-ies”

a city – cities

a pony – ponies

В некоторых существительных конечные –f, -fe меняются во множественном числе на –ve.

a shelf - shelves

a scarf - scarves

a wolf- wolves

Небольшое число существительных имеют особую форму множественного числа. Их надо заучить наизусть.

a man - men

a woman – women

a child - children

a foot- feet

a mouse - mice

a goose - geese

a tooth- teeth

ЗАПОМНИТЕ ВО МНОЖЕСТВЕННОМ ЧИСЛЕ НЕОПРЕДЕЛЕННЫЙ АРТИКЛЬ НЕ ИСПОЛЬЗУЕТСЯ!!!

• Упражнение 1 Поставьте следующие существительные во множественное число (обратите внимание на артикль: неопределенный артикль во множественном числе опускается, определенный сохраняется). • a baby, a plant, a lemon, a peach, a banana, a brush, a star, a mountain, a tree, a shilling, a king, the waiter, the queen, a man, the man, a woman, the woman, an eye, a shelf, a box, the city, a boy, a goose, the watch, a mouse, a dress, a toy, the sheep, a tooth, a child, the ox, a deer, the life, a tomato, a secretary, a crowd, the airport, a theatre, the tornado, a shop, the tragedy.

• Упражнение 2 Поставьте следующие словосочетания во множественное число. This magazine, that sticker, this stamp, that sandwich, this poster, this teacup, this egg, that wall, that picture, this foot, that mountain, this lady, that window, this man, that match, this knife, this book, this family, this pie, that answer, hat apartment, that teacher, that comedy.

Is that a ball? 15. Is that a train? 16. That is not a king. 17. Is the window open? 18. Is the door closed? 19. Is the boy near the house? 20. Is that a plane?
