Objectives: Students will read the text and make notes. Students will learn new information.

Students will think critically. Students will practice reading, speaking, writing, listening,

skills.

Procedure:

1 Warming up.

Guess the false sentence.

1 .Bishkek is a big beautiful city.

2. I go to Bishkek every day.

3. I like Bishkek.

Why do you think the 2^nd sentence is not true?

2. Reading

1. Pre-reading

Look at the picture. What animal do you see in the picture? Where does it live?

We’ll read the text about kangaroos. While reading you will make notes.

V- I know it.

-I thought that I knew, but I was wrong.

+ This information is new for me.

?- I want to learn more about it.

But first let’s do some sums:

5-6 feet (1 feet is 30.48 cm)==152-182 cm

25 feet= 762cm==7m 62cm

25 miles (I mile is 1.609 km)=40km 225m

1 inch= 2.54 cm

115 pound (1 pound is 453.59 gr) = 520 kg

2. During reading

Students will read the text and make notes.
