Урок английского языка в 7 классе
Тема: Travelling around English- speaking countries
Цели урока:
Развивать иноязычную языковую компетенцию (способность учащихся использовать полученную информацию в различных ситуациях).
Формировать интерес к культуре англо-говорящих стран
Задачи урока:
Развивать и совершенствовать лексические навыки по теме «Англо-говорящие страны»
Обеспечить дальнейшую тренировку лексики по теме
Расширять знания учащихся в области страноведения по теме «Англо-говорящие страны»
Активизировать навыки монологической и диалогической речи
Развивать умение вероятностного прогнозирования и проверки прогноза с помощью аудиотекста
Способствовать расширению знаний и представлений школьников об англо- говорящих странах
Прививать любовь к культуре англо-говорящих стран через знакомство с ними.
Оборудование: политическая карта мира, карточки с названиями стран, эмблемы и флаги англо-говорящих стран, презентация Power Point.
Ход урока:
1. Организационный момент.
- Good morning, children!
- Good morning, our teacher!
- Today we shall find out what English- speaking people think about their countries. And today we’ll l travel to these countries.Let’s start our lesson!
2. Активизация навыков диалогической речи.
Диалог разыгрывается по ролям ex.17 p 37
3. . Введение страноведческой информации
-Can you name English-speaking countries? ( G.B., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the USA and others). Yes, you are right. Let’s meet with some of them.
- We’ll travel to Canada first. Find the emblem and the flag of this country and put it on the board. (учащийся находит , прикрепляет эмблему и флаг под названием данной страны на доску) Here is the emblem and the flag of Canada. Here is a boy from Canada . Listen to him and try to ask questions about this country after his story.( Учащийся рассказывает о Канаде, ребята задают вопросы) (Если учащиеся затрудняются задать вопросы, учитель помогает)
: - What is the official emblem of Canada?
- Is English spoken in Canada different from British English?
- The next traveling is to the USA. Find the emblem and the flag of this country and put it on the board. (Прикрепить эмблему на доску). (Учащийся рассказывает о США, остальные задают вопросы о США) - What are the differences between British and American English?
- What is the motto of the USA?
- Let’s travel to New Zealand .Who can find the emblem and the flag of this country and put it on the board? (Прикрепить эмблему на доску, учащийся делает монологическое высказывание о Новой Зеландии, остальные задают вопросы после прослушанного материала: - When does the school year start in New Zealand?
- What is New Zealand famous for?
- We continue our traveling. Let’s stop. The United Kingdom is here. Who can find the emblem and the flag of this country and put it on the board? (Прикрепить эмблему на доску, учащиеся задают вопросы) -What are the famous sightseens of London?
- How many countries include the UK? ( Scotland, England, Wales, Northen Ireland, the Republic of Ireland)
- And the last stop is in Australia. Find the emblem and the flag of this country and put it on the board. (Прикрепить эмблему на доску).( Учащийся рассказывает об Австралии, остальные задают вопросы) – Where does Australia lye?
- How many people live there?
4. Физкультминутка.
Look up! Look down!
Look on the left! Look on the right!
Hands up! Hand down!
Clap your hands and sit down!
5. Совершенствование лексических навыков. Закрепление изученной страноведческой информации.
- We’ll have a rest with you. Match the countries and the word combinations corresponding to them.
(Учитель демонстрирует названия стран и фразы, которые учащиеся подбирают и помещают на доске)
Great Britain ( an island state), Australia (a “Lucky country”), New Zealand ( an upside down country), the USA ( a real melting pot), Canada (the second largest country in the world)

6. Активизация навыков аудирования.
- Open your books on page 42 ex32. Read the task.

7. Совершенствование лексических навыков и умений.
--So many countries so many customs. But English-speaking countries have a lot in common. All people speak one language. We have learnt that English includes the words from different languages. If you want to know English well, you must know how to use the English words. The task for you is to find pairs of words that have similar meanings. (Учитель раздаёт карточки со словами, учащимся надо найти синонимы)
Big- large
Little- small
Country- state
A capital- a main city
Famous- well-known
Twice- two times
Many- a lot of
To start- to begin
Well done!
--.And now it’s time to know your geographical knoledges.
Who want to come to the map and find the country, name its capital and language.
France, Japan, Brazil, Egypt, China, Portugal, Mexico

Make your own maps , take coloured pens
write all countries and capitals which you have already known
10 Your hometask is to read the information about Russia on page 42 ex.37 and to tell about Russia (найти дополнительную информацию.)
