Цели урока:

Образовательная - формирование коммуникативной культуры школьников, развитие речевого умения, формирование грамматических навыков говорения, развитие навыков аудирования с различной стратегией;

Развивающая - развитие способностей к сравнению и сопоставлению, формулированию выводов из услышанного и прочитанного, развитие коммуникабельности (способности к общению в парах и группах), развитие познавательного интереса, вовлечение учащихся в творческую деятельность, развитие способностей к логическому изложению, к формулированию выводов;

Тип урока – систематизация ЗУН.

Воспитательная - воспитание уважительного отношения к другой культуре, более глубокое осознание своей культуры через контекст культуры англоязычных стран, формирование потребности и способности к стремлению понимать истинные причины популярности английского языка, способности понимать чужую точку зрения на проблему причин его популярности, формирование способности к совместной работе в группе, достигать согласия в условиях различных взглядов, воспитание чувства ответственности за совместную работу.

Оборудование: Классная доска, экран, компьютеры, проектор, учебник, раздаточный материал.

Начало урока. (5 мин)

Приветствие:

А.Т. - Good morning! How are you? How are you getting on?

P1- fine, thanks. P2-I’m OK. ….

А.Т. - I’m sure that you are full of energy and ready to work hard. You see we have many guests today. They are English teachers. So they are good at languages. But not all people are good at foreign languages.

А.Т.- You see how hard the work of a teacher is!! So what are we going to talk about today? Did you guess the topic?

P1- Learning English language as a second one.

P2- Problems with learning.

P3- May be, learning strategies

А.Т.-You are right. What questions would you like to discuss today?

P1-Why do people learn foreign languages?

P2-What is the most popular language in the world?

P3-How to be successful in learning English?

P3-What makes people learn English?

P4-How to cope with problems while learning English?

P5-What language is the most/least spoken in the world? …..

А.Т.-Let’s concentrate our attention on 3 main questions. (слайд №3)-1 мин

А.Т.- Let’s start working. You have sheets of paper on the desks. Listen and fill in the chart (видео фрагмент « The Top 10 Languages of the World.»

А.Т. - We have answered to the second question of out lesson. “What is the most popular language in the world?”

P1- Chinise language. Mandarin(***Mandarin) = Mandarin Chinese китайский язык

А.T.-Well, we have mentioned some countries and languages. But it’s not so easy to learn a foreign language. What can be done? Work in pairs and make a dialogue, using the scheme.

P1- Have you ever thought of learning (German)… at any courses?

P2- Oh, what a question to ask? Of course, I have. Have you ever been to …(Germany).?

P1- No, I’m sorry to say, I haven’t, but I’d like to visit this country. That’s why I want to learn ….(German)

P2- O’K. Why not? I think it’s a clever decision. -
