The Objectives of the lesson: At the end of the lesson pupils will be able to:

- sing the “Seasons” song;

-watch a video and name the symbols of spring and the topic of the lesson;

- speak about spring symbols and complete the spider gram;

- use the new words in word combinations and sentences;

- speak about winter and spring;

-listen to the text and answer some questions;

-read the text and find the sentences with the new words;

- find the opposites of the words in the text in pairs;

-fill in the gaps with right words;

- demonstrate 9 new words knowledge, by performing vocabulary exercises;

Preliminary conditions: to realize these activities the pupils need the following skills:

To pronounce correct different sounds: [θ]-[ð], [n],[w], [h], [ŋ];

To understand while reading the text

To answer the questions based on the text

Evocation:

Frontal activity –sing the ”Seasons” song - a technique of motivation speaking English

Sense realization:

Frontal activity – watching a video; pair activity – complete the spider-gram;

Reflection:

Frontal activity – reading in Chain; pair activity- match the opposites; individual activity – fill in the gaps;




To find in text the sentences with the words (air, damp, tiny seeds, delicious, nests, baby animals)

1. Teacher reads the new words and shows some slides to the pupils.

2. Repeat after teacher the new words.

3. Make up sentences.

9. Encourage the pupils to listen a poem “Spring”.

10. Read and choose the words that describe spring.

1. Play the recording. Have the pupils to listen and follow along in their books.

2. Play the recording again pausing after each sentence. Have the pupils repeat chorally and individually. Ask them to read the text sentence by sentence.

3.Read the sentences with the words: seed, nest, damp, earth, baby animals;

13. Teacher asks to answer to the questions in the text.

In pairs ask and answer, teacher helps them
