Merry Christmas

(Рождество)

Little Jack Horner,
Sat in a corner,
Eating a Christmas pie,
He put in his thumb,
And pulled out a plum,
And said What a good boy am I.

May this Christmas be filled
With happiness in all that you do
And may this joy continue
The whole year through
Wishing you a Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year.

From home to home,
And heart to heart,
From one place to another
The warmth and joy of Christmas,
Brings us closer to each other.

Christmas is coming Christmas is coming.
Christmas is coming. Christmas is coming,
The geese are getting fat,
Please put a penny
In the old man's hat.
If you haven't got a penny,
A ha'penny will do.
If you haven't got a ha'penny,
Then God bless you.
Christmas is coming.
Christmas is coming.

It's Christmas! Merry Christmas!
Yes, it's merry, merry Christmas,
it's time for hanging stockings,
It's time for riding sleighs,
It's time for jolly greeting,
Snow and holly, overeating,
Oh, I love you merry Christmas,
You're the best of holidays

New Year’s Day

(Новый год)

A happy New Year!
The day is so clear,
The snow is so white,
The sky is so bright,
We shout with all our might:
«A happy New Year»

Here's to the bright New Year,
And a fond farewell to the old!
Here's to the things that are yet to come,
And to the memories that we hold!

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let it go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.

Bring on the new year
Celebrations in the streets.
Bring on the new year
Make sure there's lots of treats.

Bring on the new year
A time to celebrate.
Memories old and wishes new
Hopeful, the world awaits.

Come, children, gather round my knee,
Something is about to be.
Tonight’s December thirty-first,
Something is about to burst.
Hark, it’s midnight, children dear,
Huck, here comes another year!

A year to be glad in,
And not to be sad in;
To gain in, to give in,
A happy new year.

A new year for trying,
And never for sighing,
A new year to live in,
Oh! hold it most dear!

New things to learn,
New friends to meet,
New songs to sing,
New books to read.
New things to see,
New things to hear,
New things to do
In this New Year!

January opens
The box of the year
And brings out days
That are bright and clear.
And brings out days
That are cold and gray,
And shouts, «Come see
What I brought today»

If it didn't bring you joy
just leave it behind
Let's ring in the New Year
with good things in mind
Let every bad memory
that brought heartache and pain
And let's turn a new leaf
with the smell of new rain
Let's forget past mistakes
making amends for this year
Sending you these greetings
to bring you hope and cheer
Happy New Year!

St. Valentine's Day

(День Святого Валентина)

You could never guess
How much happiness
You've brought my way
Happy Valentine's Day.

You're on my mind
Because you're the kind
Of friend
Who really cares.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Boys are silly.

Girls are smart

I love you

With all my heart.

Boys are noisy.

Girls are, too

You like me,

And I like you.

Mama loves coffee.

Papa loves tea.

I love my teacher,

And my teacher loves me!

The birds won't sing,

The stars won't shine,

If you won't be

My valentine.

I love my life

Because it gave me you

I love you

Because you are my life

Happy Valentine's Day

Mother's Day

(День Матери)

Mother - a whole world of words is not enough,
So for all of you to thank.
For sleep less moments in bed,
And the tears of bitter resentment.
For your support and your concern,
Upbringing of the first steps
And for every hard Saturday
What are you devoted to us by one.
For a smile, warming the heart,
For hugs favorite hand
Mom - you are the best in the world!

Beloved mother, congratulate you,
Mother’s Day happy, healthy desire.
You’re in my heart, even if the separation,
I always remember your gentle hands.
Let your every day is filled with light,
Love family be like the sun to warm up.
Sorry, sometimes you sad,
Believe me, unwittingly … You reproach.

Mom is such a special word

The loveliest I've ever heard

These words to you, above all the rest,

Mom, you're so special,

You are simply the best!

I like the way you look,
I like the way you cook,
Now I want to say:
«Happy Mother’s Day!»

That is your mother,
I agree, she is fine.
You love your mother,
And I love mine!

I know a face, a lovely face
As full of beauty as of grace,
A face of pleasure and of smile.
In darkness it gives the light.
A face that is itself like joy,
To see it I’m a happy boy.
And I have a joy that have no other.
This lovely woman is my mother!

Sending this, Mom,

Especially to say

Wishing you a happy

And wonderful day...

And to tell you this day

Will always be one

For remembering the many

Sweet things you have done!

The heart of a home is a mother

Whose love is warm and true,

And home has always been "sweet home"

With a wonderful mother like you!

Just one little wish for you, Mom,

But it's loving and happy and true -

It's a wish that the nicest and best things

Will always keep coming to you!

My Mother, my friend so dear

throughout my life you're always near.

A tender smile to guide my way

You're the sunshine to light my day.

There is no blessing

quite so dear…

as a mom like you

to love year after year.

Of all the special joys in life,

The big ones and the small,

A mother's love and tenderness

Is the greatest of them all.

Best friends forever, mom and me:

picking flowers and climbing trees,

a shoulder to cry on, secrets to share

Warm hearts and hands that really care.

Halloween

(Праздник Хэллоуин)

Jack-o-lantern, Jack-o-lantern,

You are such a funny sight

As you sit there by the window,

Looking out at the night

You were once a sturdy pumpkin

Growing on a vine

Now you are a Jack-o-lantern,

See the light shine

Trick or treat, trick or treat,
Give us some things good to eat.
Give us candy, give us cake,
Give us something sweet to take.
Give us cookies, fruit and gum,
Hurry up and give us some.
You had better do it quick
Or we'll surely play a trick.
Trick or treat, trick or treat,
Give us something good to eat.

Halloween, Halloween, magic night.
We are glad and very bright.
We all dance and sing and recite,
“Welcome! Welcome! Halloween night!”

Tonight is the night

When dead leaves fly

Like witches on switches

Across the sky,

When elf and sprite

Flit through the night

On a moony sheen.

Tonight is the night

When leaves make a sound

Like a gnome in his home

Under the ground,

When spooks and trolls

Creep out of holes

Mossy and green.

May the only good spirits you will chance to meet,
Be the spirits of love and the friends sweet.
Be happy tonight, be happy everyday!
Halloween spirits will guard your way.

At night monsters galore
All come knock in go your door.
Do not be afraid. If you've seen
Shout: "Happiness, Halloween!"

Under the moon light, among the ruins,
Horrible Zombie is bothery our dreams.
Stay at your house, be quiet, my friend,
On Halloween he will eat you. The end.

I wish you happy Halloween!
I wish you crazy night!
Let’s put ours costumes: monster, queen…
Let’s go and joy tonight!

I see that you’re full of fear –
The Pumpkins preads its awful arms…
Congratulations, my dear:
Halloween comes! Halloween comes!

Hi, my dear, trick or treat!
Give me something sweet to eat.
Like a candy or a cake!
Something good and nice to take!

Five little pumpkins

Sitting on a gate

The first one said,

«My it's getting late!»

The second one said,

«There are witches in the air!»

The third one said,

«Good folk, beware!»

The fourth one said,

«We'll run and run!»

The fifth one said,

«Let's have some fun!»

«WOOOOOOOH», went the wind,

And OUT went the light;

And the five little pumpkins

Rolled out of sight!

There's a dragon crawling round the room.

Do not get too close or it will surely spell your doom.

A dragon's always looking for something to munch.

If you don't watch out, you may be his lunch.

Who's that tapping at the window?

Who's that knocking at the door?

Mammy tapping at the window,

Pappy knocking at the door.

Thanksgiving Day

(День Благодоренья)

I’m a great big turkey
‘Cause I’m well fed.
Watch me spread my feathers.
Watch me bob my head.

When I strut around
I waddle, waddle, waddle.
And when I talk
I “gobble, gobble, gobble”.

I’m a great big turkey
And I’d love to stay.
But Thanksgiving’s coming.
So it’s time to run away!

The turkey is a funny bird.
It’s head goes wobble, wobble.
All it knows is just one word
And that is gobble, gobble!

Turkeys, turkeys all around
On the fence, on the ground.
On the haystack, on the chair.
All around, everywhere.
Turkeys, turkeys all around.
Gobble, gobble what a sound!

Pies in the oven
Yum, yum, yum.
I can smell them
Oh, what fun!

One is pumpkin,
One is berry.
They will make
Thanksgiving merry!
Pies in the oven
Yum, yum, yum.
Soon, they’ll be in my
Tum, tum, tum!

Who will sweep the floor?
That’s something I know.
Who will help bake pies?
I’m great at kneading dough.

Who will pick the flowers?
I hope my mom picks me.
Who will fold the napkins?
I’m very good you see.

Who will mash potatoes?
I think that I’m the one.
Who will taste the turkey?
Thanksgiving’s so much fun!
Who will greet the guests?
I know it will be me.
Because I love to greet
My whole big family!

This is the way we grind our corn,
Grind our corn, grind our corn.
This is the way we grind our corn,
For Thanksgiving Day.

This is the way we hunt for food,
Hunt for food, hunt for food.
This is the way we hunt for food,
For Thanksgiving Day.

This is the way we catch some fish,
Catch some fish, catch some fish.
This is the way we catch some fish,
For Thanksgiving Day.

This is the way we kneed our bread
Kneed our bread, kneed our bread.
This is the way we kneed our bread,
For Thanksgiving Day.
