My favourite place in the town.

I live in a small town Ostashkov. My native town is located on the banks of lake Seliger.

It is a centre of the Seliger area.

Lake Seliger is the pearl of Tver region.

My favourite place in the town is Klichen. This is a small island spreading among

the smooth surface of the lake. The history of my native town began from here

in the 14^th centure. This was a small town - a fortress -Klichen.

Now it is a recreational area for all people living in Ostashkov. I often like going for a walk here.

In winter I sledge, go skiing along “ the path of health” or just enjoy the beauty of winter pine forest.

In summer there are some more amusements here. You can swim in the lake, lie in the sun on the beach, have a rest and enjoy birds’singing.

In autumn Klichen is like a goldish tower. It is full of bright colours, that is why it is especially attractive for photographers.

The spring is one of the beloved seasons for many people. Everything is turning green, the migrant birds are coming back. The mood is getting better.

Klichen is lovely in all seasons of the year. In spring it is fragrance of lily of the valley,

in summer it is birds’singing, in winter they are ever-green pines and fir-trees

with heavy "caps" of snow.

This is my homeland. It is difficult to find it on the globe or on a map, but I live here and so I am happy.
