The Thames .

In London there are many sightseeing tours in tourist boats, past the more famous riverside attractions.

Tower Bridge.

• It is the oldest and the most famous bridge across the Thames.
• Originally it was made of wood by the Romans, but it was often burnt down.
• Later it was made of stone. Finally it was rebuilt and made of concrete.

the London Eye

On the other side of the River Thames you can see the London Eye, sometimes called the Millenium Wheel, the largest observation wheel in the world. It was opened on December 31, 1999.
