Tennis is a sport usually played between two players or between two teams of two players each. 

Today tennis has gained popularity and spread all over the world. The largest international tournaments gather huge crowds of fans of this game as participants and spectators. The most honored tennis players of the world took part in these competitions. They are physically well-trained, athletic, have lightning-fast reactions, excellent mobility and agility. They play powerfully, accurately and creatively, in an attacking style, have a subtle sense of game situations.

Each player must have a racket. The game involves throwing the ball with a racket over the net to the opposite side, and the last player must return the ball back each time .

The winner of the game is the player who scored the maximum number of points.

The most prestigious international competitions are the open championships of Australia, France, England and the USA. They are called Grand Slam tournaments because a tennis player who has managed to win all four tournaments during the year becomes the owner of the so-called "Grand Slam"
