Цели урока:
Практическая: совершенствование навыков устной речи по теме “Food”.
Образовательная: развитие умения осуществлять выбор языковых средств, работать в группе, умения осуществлять контроль (самоконтроль), коррекцию (самокоррекцию).
Развивающая: развитие мышления, памяти, воображения, внимания, логики, языковой догадки.
Воспитательная: формирование интереса к изучению иностранного языка, потребности в дальнейшем самовоспитании, самообразовании.
Сопутствующие задачи: совершенствование навыков чтения и письма.

Тема мероприятия: Are you a foodie?
Цели урока:
Практическая: совершенствование навыков устной речи по теме “Food”.
Образовательная: развитие умения осуществлять выбор языковых средств, работать в группе, умения осуществлять контроль (самоконтроль), коррекцию (самокоррекцию).
Развивающая: развитие мышления, памяти, воображения, внимания, логики, языковой догадки.
Воспитательная: формирование интереса к изучению иностранного языка, потребности в дальнейшем самовоспитании, самообразовании.
Сопутствующие задачи: совершенствование навыков чтения и письма.

Начало урока (организационный момент)
- Hello, boys and girls. We’re glad to see you today. How are you today?
Today we are going to have a competition? Do you know the topic? We’ve prepared a little hint for you. Look at the screen, watch a little cartoon and guess the topic.
So what is the topic of our lesson? You are right, it’s food.
And now, please, divide into two teams and choose the captains of your teams. The names of your teams will be “Funny vegetables” and “Crazy fruit”.

Firstly, let’s play the “Last hero” game. In turn you will name the food words that you remember. The team which tells the last word will win one point.
Well done, pupils, and now, please, answer the questions. For each right answer you will get one point.
Questions:
What do you usually have for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner?
When do you usually eat breakfast/ lunch/ dinner?
What is your favourite food/ drink?
Good for you. Choose one card. Next task is to fill in the missing letters. (Приложение 1)
For the next task let’s remember what two groups we can divide all the nouns in. You are right: it’s countable and uncountable. What word do we use with countable singular nouns? And with countable plural and uncountable nouns? Yes, you are right, it’s “a” and “some”. And your task is to write “a”, “an” and “some” before the nouns. (Приложение 2)
Look at the board. You can see three baskets: for fruit, vegetables and other food. In turn you will take the paper with the food word and put it in the right basket.
And now look at the screen. You can see Max and Jane. Listen and tell what food they like. The first team, you will speak about Max, the second – about Jane.
Good for you. And let’s get to know what else they like. You can see the beginning of the words on the flowers and the ending of the words on the bees. Your task is to make the food words (Приложение 3, 4)
Last weekend Max had a party. I think it’s high time to get to know what happened there. Your task is to make sentences. (Приложение 5)
All Mike’s friends liked the specialty of the house. It was pizza. Today we will also make pizza. What ingredients do we need for this purpose? You will get to know when you complete the next task. You can see eight letters. You are to make as many words beginning with these letters as you can. (Приложение 6)
Look at the board. You can see two intermediate products. Your task is to draw your pizza with your ingredients but with the closed eyes.
Also Max and his friends guessed the riddles. They told each other the proverbs and tried to guess their meanings. Let’s do the same. (Приложение 7)
In the end of the day they played a miming game. We also will play the same game. In turn you will take a paper with the word and mime it to the second team. If they guess the word they will get one point, if not – you will get two points.

Our competition is coming to the end, so, please, answer the questions. For each right answer you will get one point.

What healthy food do you know?
What is your favourite food?
Name one fruit which is yellow.
Name the vegetable begins with “c”.
Name the drink that gives us energy and keeps us from sleeping.

What unhealthy food do you know?
What is your favourite drink?
Name the food which is red.
Name the food which English people add to their tea.
What do we usually put in the middle of the table at the birthday party?
Now let’s count your points. And the winner is … Our congratulations!
