Nina is a very reliable friend as she is ready to help me in any situation. She helps me with my Maths classes. Sometimes she is really stubborn and doesn’t want to explain the material once more. But I’m not angry with her. Nina is a very creative and energetic person and she has a lot of hobbies. She goes in for swimming, photography and is a member of Drama club. I’m surprised that she has time for everything. I’m very proud of my friend.

№11. Find the meanings (definitions) of STUDY SKILLS:
The purpose of auther is to reason for writing the passage (to entertain, persuade, inform, advise, narrate or describe). It will help you understand the content of the text better. Special phrases that have their own meaning. For example «a piece of a cake»-we mean that it is very easy. If you learn these Special phrases, your English will be much more colourful and natural. Short and friendly types of messages which we send to someone to congratulate them, wish happy birthday, express sympathy, wish good luck… Such kind of language is characterized be the use of short opening and closing remarks, abbreviations, colloquial phrasal verbs, idioms and everyday language, the imperative and informal linkers. Read the title and the text quickly to get the gist. Read the text again focusing on the words and after each gap. Read the text again to make sure it makes sense.
