Old Moscow
Moscow is an old city. It was first mentioned in 1147. Moscow was founded 8 centuries ago by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky.

Moscow is situated on the Moskva river.
Moscow
Moscow is the capital of Russia, its economic, political and cultural centre. Its population is about 10 million people. Now Moscow is one of the largest cities in Europe. Its area is about 900 thousand square kilometers.
The city is situated on seven hills. On one of them is the Kremlin with its beautiful red walls and famous towers.

The Kremlin – the oldest historical and architectural centre – is the heart of Moscow.
St. Basil’s Cathedral
On the territory of the Kremlin you can see old cathedrals. One of them is St. Basil’s Cathedral. It was built in the 16 th century in memory of the victory over Kazan.
The Tsar Bell and The Tsar Cannon
The Tsar Cannon and the Tsar Bell, the biggest cannon and bell in the world are also in the Kremlin.
Red Square
Red Square is known by all people both in our country and abroad. It attracts tourists and people who live in Moscow.

The Bolshoi Theatre presents operas and ballets and is internationally known and admired.

Moscow State University named after a famous Russian scientist Lomonosov is one of the oldest Universities in Russia. It is one of the highest buildings in Moscow.

The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts is world famous as many other museums in Moscow.
Luzhniki- the Central Stadium
Many competitions and football matches are held there.
The Moscow Metro
The Moscow metro began its work in 1935. There were 13 stations at that time. Now it has 190 stations. Our metro is a beautiful and convenient one.
The Kievskiy Railway Station
There are nine railway stations in Moscow. One of the most beautiful ones is The Kievskiy Station.
Domodedovo International Airport
There are five airports around the city.Domodedovo is one of the three major Moscow airports along with Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo.

It is both used for domestic flights and flights abroad.
