Teacher 1: Hello boys and girls. Hello our guests. Nice to see you. Today we are going to present our project to you. It’s called “My Land –Kabardino-balkaria”. Now a few words about our project. Last year a group of our students took part in the seminar, which was held in the Institute of Business in Nalchik. The participants of that seminar were American specialists from the State Florida.
Different questions on different themes were touched and discussed during this work. They were: «The Importance of Relationship Building», «Great Leadership», «Keyes to Personal Success» and others. On one side, we learned a lot of interesting and useful information, on the other side our guests wanted to become acquainted with a mode of life of a small Caucasian republic. That's why we created this project and we carry it out.
Student 1: Kabardino-Balkaria is a nice and small republic, situated in the heart of the Caucasus, at the foot of the Elbrus Mountain. Here on this territory you can find different relief regions: beautiful planes, high tops of the mountains, nice but dangerous gorges, and rich forests. The republic is famous as a health resort all over the world. Long ago people knew about curative mineral waters in the region.
Student 2: From times immemorial the Caucasus was glorified by lots of Russian poets and writers: M. Gorkiy, A. Pushkin, M. Lermontov and others. They admired the high tops of the mountains beautiful plains, dangerous gorges, picturesque valleys and grassy meadows, friendly and hospitable people.

Student 3: Keshokov said: «All the world I went around and I saw the fields and mounts, but no town can be found nicer than my tiny land. »
Nalchik is the capital of Kabardino-Balkarskaya republic. It is political, cultural, scientific, industrial centre. The Capital has the State University, more than five institutes, many special colleges, five theatres, many concert halls, cinemas. The town is specially beautiful when nature awakens from it's long sleep.
Teacher2 : We were the graduates of our state university. We hope that in the nearest future some of you will become the students of it and graduate from it successfully. And now our student presents some interesting facts about our university.
Student 4: Kabardino-Balkarskaya state university has taken the special place in the list of educational institutions of the republic. It is found in 1957. First it was the Pedagogical Institute. Nowadays there're more than 15 faculties and more than 80 scientific laboratories and departments. The University staff prepares specialists for foreign countries as Syria, Iraq, China, India and others. The teachers work together with the students over different scientific problems.
Teacher 1: Our homeland is really the most fascinating and hospitable region with its friendly people the extraordinary beautiful nature and places of interest. Now we'll learn about it. Boys and girls our bus is coming to the stop «Sights of Our Republic».

The foothills of Elbrus is one of the most popular regions of our country. It's well-known for mass tourist trips, mountain skiing and mounting-climbing exploits. It is really wonderful to spend some free time in the alpine camps in the mountains. Lots of tourists are attracted by the heaven-reaching two-peaked Elbrus mountain. The Giant is 5.642 meters high.
Student 6: Dear guests every year thousands of tourists visit our republic and admire our famous places as: the Elbrus region, the Baksan Gorge, the Chegem Waterfalls. Especially the Blue Lakes attract a lot of tourists from our country and from abroad. Let's make a trip to them. The Lower Blue lake is 258 meters deep. The temperature of water is the same all the year round +9 above zero. There's no fish in this lake. No river can be seen falling into it, but every second one ton of water is flowing out of it and makes up a separate river flowing into the river Cherek.
Teacher 2: Kabardino-Balkaria has produced a great number of very creative and talented people. They're poets and writers, painters and sculptors, scientists and musicians. A lot of discoveries and great achievements have been made by them in different fields of science and culture. Attention please, we're getting off the next stop «Outstanding people»
Student 8: The names of Bekmurza Pachev, Kyazim Mechiev, Alim Keshokov, Adam Shogentsukov, Kyasyn Kuliev, the winners of different State Prizes are widely known. Yury Temirkanov, an outstanding musician, the king of music speech a world famous composer. He performed in the USA, Spain, France, Canada, Japan and other countries. He is the glorified son of the Adygh Land.The great musician of the 20th century; he won the hearts of the music amateurs all over the world. Nowadays he's the main conductor of the St. Petersburg State Academy Opera and Ballet theatre.
Student 9: «Как старый горец любит свой Казбек, так я люблю все земли и края, но к родине привязанный навек, всегда гордился тем, что горец я»
An outstanding poet of the 20th century he's one of the most interesting people, one of the most free souls in the world, the joy of a mankind. His work is unique and his life is an example of serving to literature, to people. In his work Kuliev was very honest and sincere. His poems have come to people they have stayed with us forever. When he was in France «Le Monde» newspaper wrote: «The works of Kuliev are a masterpiece of the world culture. He stands as an equal among such genius poets of the world as Byron, Pushkin, Mitskevich and Lorca. His works are translated into 120 languages. We citizens of Kabardino-Balkaria are proud of such a man as K. Kuliev.
Teacher 2: During the seminar, we not only exchanged information about the culture, tradition and customs of our countries but we enjoyed dancing. And now we are getting to the next stop «Our Famous Ensembles».
Student 10: The people of Kabardino-Balkaria are greatly proud of Academic State Folk Dance Ensemble «Kabardinka» and Academic State Folk Dance Ensemble «Balkaria». Talented boys and girls show great skill of performance in different dances. The audience admire a truly bright temperamental and highly professional art. If you go through the fantastic show together with the dancers, you will be filled with folk-love, with ancient but still living traditions. Out of the leading dancers in Ensembles «Balkaria» is the graduate of our school Мapaт Мирзoeв. and we are proud of him. Also we are proud of our graduate Данита Даурова who is the leader dancer of Ensemble «Hatti».
