When I was down beside the sea A wooden spade they gave to me
To dig the sandy shore. My holes were empty like a cup , In every hole the sea came up, Till it could come no more.
William Blake « Spring »
Sound the flute! Now it's mute! Bird's delight, Day and night, Nightingale, In the dale, Lark in sky,-- Merrily, Merrily merrily, to welcome in the year. Little boy, Full of joy; Little girl, Sweet and small; Cock does crow, So do you; Merry voice, Infant noise; Merrily, merrily, to welcome in the year.

When the wind blows,
You walk away slow.
White sheep, white sheep,
Where do you go?

Edith Segal « Spring »
Spring is coming, spring is coming, Birdies build your nest; Weave together straw and feather, Doing each your best. Spring is coming, spring is coming, Flowers are coming, too; Pansies, lilies, daffodils Now are coming through. Spring is coming, spring is coming, All around is fair; Shimmer, quiver on the river, Joy is everywhere.
