Так как недавно в России прошли зимние Олимпийские игры,мы решили выбрать эту тему,чтобы рассказать о значимости этих игр в жизни каждого человека.Для того,чтобы обеспечить гражданам России здоровый образ жизни,вовлечь их в спортивную жизнь.
VALUE OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES
The international Olympic Movement arose thanks to development of the modern Olympic Games. The most, perhaps, sacred and clear games of the present which were created by human reason — it is Olympic. They incorporated all the best that sports give to the person. The Olympic Games not simply competitions strong mind and body, and the modern world outlook concept, which name — an Olympism. About the purposes of the Olympic Movement in the Olympic charter it is told: "Assistance to development of physical and moral qualities which are a sports basis; youth education by means of sports in the spirit of mutual understanding and the friendship promoting creation of the best and quieter world; the world distribution of the Olympic principles for manifestation of good will between the people". In this peculiar manifesto the main requirements to the person are formulated. That is why the Olympic Games, regardless of extent of participation in sports occupations are important for each of us. The Olympic Games — it competitions and review of everything that managed to achieve in a noble field of spiritual and physical development of humanity, improvements of the international climate.

Symbols of the Olympic Games
The official logo (emblem) of the Olympic Games consists of five circles linked among themselves or rings. This symbol was developed by the founder of the modern Olympic Games baron Pierre de Coubertin in 1913 under impression of similar symbols on Ancient Greek subjects. There are no confirmations that Coubertin connected number of rings with number of continents, but it is considered that five rings – a symbol of five continents (Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and America). On a flag of any state there is at least one color from presented on the Olympic rings.

HISTORY OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES
The Olympic Games of Ancient Greece represented the religious and sports festival spent in Olympia. Data on an origin of games are lost, but some myths describing this event remained. The Olympic Games began as competition of local value and the first of them took place in 776 BC. Besides slaves and barbarians on stadiums weren't allowed, citizens of Greece could participate in competitions only. But over time the great number of athletes began to gather in Olympia not only from the Greece, and from the cities colonies from Mediterranean to Black the seas. It happened when Hellas got to submission to Rome. At the time of power of the Roman Empire her emperors became participants of Games even. So, for example, Neuron won jumps on the chariots harnessed by 10 horses. However, it is possible to call this victory only conditional: it is unlikely someone would risk outstripping the omnipotent tyrant. Russia joined the Olympic movement in 1852.The 22 and Olympic Games took place in Moscow in 1980.
The Olympic flame
One of symbols of the Olympic Games. This fire light in the city of carrying out Games during their opening, and it burns continuously before their termination.
Revival of the tradition based on Ancient Greek rituals took place when holding the Olympic Games of 1928 in Amsterdam at the Olympic stadium for which project the Dutch architect Yang VILS was awarded by a gold medal in competition of arts. Fire burned and at stadium of Games in Los Angeles in 1932. The Olympic torch is carried from Olympia through different counties to the host city.
The Olympic flag
The Olympic flag – one of official symbols of the International Olympic Movement. The flag represents a white cloth with the image of five Olympic rings. The project of a flag was developed by Pierre de Coubertin and approved by the International Olympic Committee in 1913. For the first time the Olympic flag was hung out at opening of celebrations in honor of the twentieth anniversary of the modern Olympic Movement in Sorbonne hall in 1914.
According to the Olympic charter the Olympic flag hang out on all actions connected with the Olympic Games, and as during the Olympic Games. For the first time at the Olympic Games the flag appeared in 1920 (the decision on flag use was initially made during the Olympic Games in 1916, but they didn't take place because of military operations). Since 1920, the Olympic colors hoist at all Olympic Games.
WINNERS OF GAMES
Team Russia (Dmitry Japarov, Alexander Bessmertnykh, Alexander Legkov and Maxim Vylegzhanin) won the silver at the Olympic games in Sochi in relay race 4 x 10 km. Gold medals were won by the national team of Sweden, bronze by the French. The main character in the Russian team was fled in the third stage Legkov: he took the baton fifth with backlog from the leader in 41.3 seconds, and gave Vylegzhanina second - just 14.3 seconds from the Swedes.
Olympic champion Yulia Lipnitsky was awarded the title of honored master of sports! Congratulations to the young Olympic champion in the history of figure skating!
Conclusion
Russian sports men took an active part in Sochi. They won a lot of medals and we are very proud of them its was a wonderful festival of sport, health ,peace and friendship.
