“ADVENTURE HOLIDAYS” 6 КЛАСС.

ЦЕЛИ УРОКА: 1. РАЗВИВАЮЩАЯ: Развивать навыки активного говорения, выразительного чтения. Развивать мышление, память, творческие способности.
2. ПОЗНАВАТЕЛЬНАЯ: Активизировать лексику, развивать потребность практического пользования языком в различных сферах деятельности.
3. ВОСПИТАТЕЛЬНАЯ: Развивать умения работать в команде, развивать интерес к изучению языка.
ЗАДАЧИ: 1. Развитие лексических навыков говорения.
2. Развитие речевых умений в монологической речи.
3.Тренировка умения отвечать на вопросы.
4.Активизация ранее изученных лексико-грамматических структур в речи учащихся.
5. Формирование познавательной активности.
6. Воспитание готовности сотрудничать при выполнении конкретной задачи.
7. Воспитание чувства коллективизма, сотрудничества, взаимопомощи и ответственности.
ОБОРУДОВАНИЕ: Компьютер, экран, презентация, реклама приключенческого клуба, рюкзак, учебники, карточки с заданиями.
ХОД УРОКА.
ОРГАНИЗАЦИОННЫЙ МОМЕНТ: Good morning, children! Sit down, please. Today we’ve got an unusual lesson, we’ve got a lot of guests. So, today we shall speak about holidays.
( Somebody is knocking.)
P1: Excuse me. May I come in? I’m a member of the Adventure Club. I’ve got an advertisement. May I read it for the pupils?
T: Yes, of course. Go ahead.
P1: Our Adventure Club is not an ordinary society. It can give you a lot of opportunities. For example: to overcome difficulties, to change yourself, to feel proud of yourself, to get experience and discover new things.
P2: This club will help you to develop independent skills. You will learn how to make a fire, cook meals, put up tents, provide first aid, sail on boats and a lot of other things. Welcome to our Club!
T: How interesting! Guys, do you have any questions?
P3: What shall we do to become stronger?
P1: We shall do some special exercises.
P4: You say about the first aid. Is it dangerous?
P2: No, it isn’t. Perhaps, a little bit. But to provide first aid we should know in any case.
P6: Who will teach us?
P1: Good instructors.
P7: Where shall we live?
P2: We shall stay in the camp, put up tents and live there.
P3: Can I invite my friends there?
P1: How old are they?
P3: 12
P1: Of course, you can.
TEACHER: SO, how do you find the idea of joining the Adventure Club?
P1: I find it incredible!
P2: I think, it is exciting!
P3: It is a good idea!
P4: It’s fantastic!
P5: It’s interesting but a little bit dangerous.
P6: It’s amazing!
TEACHER: Would you like to join the Club?
PUPILS: YES.
TEACHER: OK. Then our theme will be not “Holidays” but “ Adventure Holidays.” But if we are going on a trip, we should take all necessary things. The weather can be different: sunny or rainy. We shall need to eat something, live somewhere. So, what shall we take?
P1: I think, a warm sweater.
P2: I suppose a map.
P3: We’ll need a compass.
P4: Sleeping bag.
P5: A tent.
P6: Don’t forget about medicine.
P7: Warm socks.
P8: I think we should take hiking boots and a flashlight.
P9: We forgot about food.
P10: A fishing rod, a ball.
P11: Sunglasses.
P1: We should take a camera to take pictures.
TEACHER: NOW WE ARE READY. OFF WE GO.

TEACHER: In the camp we can meet new friends from different countries. May be from English-Speaking countries. So, we should improve our English. Now, let’s play a game. We are going to travel, that means we are going to be explores in some way. That’s why we should learn some world-famous explores. Today we shall learn about James Cook. Who discovered Australia.

Captain James Cook was born on the 7th of November, 1728 in Yorkshire, England. At the age of 17 he started working on a ship. During his time on a ship, he began to study different subjects: algebra, geometry, navigation and astronomy.
In June 1757 Cook joined one of the King’s ships as a captain’s assistant.
During 1758-1763 he served in North America. His skills of a cartographer helped him to make a map of the west side of North America.
In 1768 James Cook travelled to the Pacific Ocean as the leader of an expedition and its captain.
His second trip was in 1772. It lasted 4 years. He was the head of an expedition and led two ships Resolution and Adventure. Cook brought back a detailed map of New Zealand and a map of Australian west coast. Scientists discovered plenty new kinds of animals and plants.
In 1776 James Cook took his last trip on the ships Resolution and Discovery. He discovered the North way from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.
In 1779, there was a conflict with the native people of the islands. They killed James Cook. The expedition returned home in 1780 without their captain.
James Cook was a great explorer. H made the most complete maps of New Zealand and Australia. He changed people’s understanding of geography. His work was very important and useful for people from all over the world.
