Поставьте глаголы в следующих предложениях в

утвердительную, вопросительную и отрицательную

формы Past Simple.

I (to do) morning exercises. He (to work) at a factory.
She (to sleep) after dinner. We (to work) part-time.
They (to drink) tea every day. Mike (to be) a student.
Helen (to have) a car. You (to be) a good friend.
You (to be) good friends. It (to be) difficult to remember everything.

Упражнение 2. Раскройте скобки, употребляя глаголы в

Past Simple.

Alice (to have) a sister. Her sister’s name (to be) Ann.

Ann (to be) a student. She (to get) up at seven o'clock.

She (to go) to the institute in the morning.

Jane (to be) fond of sports.

She (to do) her morning exercises every day.
For breakfast she (to have) two eggs, a sandwich and a cup of tea.
After breakfast she (to go) to the institute.
Sometimes she (to take) a bus.
It (to take) her an hour and a half to do her homework.
She (to speak) English well. She (to go) to bed at 11 p. m.
Her friends usually (to call) her at about 8 o’clock.

Ann (to take) a shower before going to bed.

Упражнения 9. Перепишите следующий текст в прошедшем времени.
On Monday we have five lessons. The first lesson is English. At this lesson we write a dictation and do some exercises. Nick goes to the blackboard.
He answers well and gets an excellent mark. Pete does not get an excellent mark because he does not know his lesson. After the second lesson I go to the canteen. I eat a sandwich and drink a cup of tea. I do not drink milk. After school I do not go home at once. I go to the library and take a book. Then I go home.

Упражнения 10. Прочитайте текст и ответьте на вопросы. Last year, my parents decided to arrange a tour to England for me. I was happy. I planned to stay for a week. The only problem was weather. At this time of the year Britain is rainy and humid. So I packed my bags and prepared for the voyage. I arrived to London by plane. At the airport we were greeted by our host families. I stayed at my penfriend’s place in a village not far from Bristol. The view there was breathtaking. It was a small village with a farm. There were some stores and a pub. When we wanted to experience city rush, we drove to Bristol. I liked this city. It was full of light, spacious stores, various restaurants, malls with cinema theatres, cute bridges and castles. We spent a day in London. I fall in love with this city once I saw it. Our friends showed us around. We visited the Museum of Madame Tussauds, the Trafalgar Square, the Westminster Abbey. In the evening we went to the Piccadilly Circus, which was even more beautiful than on pictures. When I came back home, I was full of positive emotions. If I get a chance I will visit this country again.
