Hello!

My name is Alexey, I'm 12 years old. I'm in grade 6. This year, the World Festival of Youth and Students is held in Russia, and I really liked the idea of the action, which is now taking place throughout our country in support of friendly communication between countries. The organizers of this event offered us, the schoolchildren, to communicate with foreign peers. And it's really cool to write the first letter that could be the beginning of a new strong friendship that will help to know more about another country, another culture.

I live in a small town called Raduzhniy. It is located in the Khanty Mansiysk Autonomous District. Our town is small, but very beautiful and clean. And people in our town are good-natured, sincere and hardworking.

Our district is famous for good oil and gas production, almost all the male population of our city works in oil organizations. For good work in difficult conditions and in a harsh climate, the mayor of our town created a holiday for the people. Now every year on the first weekend of September our town celebrates the remarkable holiday, the Day of the Oilman. In the future, I would like to try myself in the oil industry, because this industry is very interesting to me. I hope my plans will not change.
