Тип урока: урок объяснения новой темы.

Цели урока: развитие коммуникативной компетенции.

Сопутствующие задачи:

Учебная: ученик знает лексические единицы по теме «Celebrations», умеет составлять предложения о различных праздниках, знает об исчисляемых и неисчисляемых существительных.

Воспитательная: ученик уважительно относится к культуре изучаемой страны.

Познавательная: ученик знает о британских праздниках, традициях и обычаях, принятых в определенные праздники.

Развивающая: ученик умеет анализировать, умеет сравнивать российские и британские праздники.

Оснащение урока: учебник, раздаточный материал, мультимедийная презентация.

Языковой материал: лексика - set off fireworks, dress up, have street parades, light bonfires, decorate the house, exchange gifts, have a family dinner, cook special food. Грамматика: исчисляемые и неисчисляемые существительные.

Речевой материал: монологи, беседа.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент – 1-2 мин.

T.-Good morning boys and girls! I’m very happy to see you. How are you? I hope that we will work nicely.

S: Good morning dear teacher!

T: What’s the weather like today? What can you do in such weather? What clothes do you wear in such weather?

(Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы учителя, учитель комментирует).

II. Актуализация – 5-7 мин.

T: What was your homework? Let’s check.

(Вместе с учителем учащиеся проверяют домашние задания)

III. Объяснение новой темы- 7 мин.

T: Look at the screen, listen and answer to my question: what activities are on the pictures? (1 слайд)

S: In this screen we can see what children are putting on costumes; a woman is cooking; people are singing the songs and dancing and little child with her parents dress the Christmas Eve.

T: Quite right. When and where do the people put on costumes, cook tasty food, sing and dance?

S: At New Year party, at the Birthday party, at celebrations.

T: Right! What do you think what topic are we going to study?

S: We are going to study celebrations.

T: Yes, quite right! We are going to speak about celebrations.

Do you know any popular celebrations in our country?

S: New Year, Christmas, Victory Day, Easter, Women’s Day, Shrovetide, Day of the Defender of the Motherland, Labor Day, Children’s Day, Independence Day of Russia, Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, Day of Knowledge, Day of National Unity.

(Ученики называют различные праздники, а учитель выводит названия праздников на экране).

IV. Закрепление новой темы – 18 мин.

T: Yes, that’s it. So, open your books. There are new words and word expressions for you. Look at the screen and say after me. What do you think what does it mean these word expressions? (3 слайд).

(Учащиеся повторяют новые слова и словосочетания за учителем. Пытаются перевести совместно с учителем).

set off fireworks запускать фейерверки

dress up наряжаться

have street parades устраивать уличные парады

light bonfires разжигать костры

decorate the house украшать дом

exchange gifts обмениваться подарками

have a family dinner устраивать семейный обед

cook special food готовить праздничные блюда

T: All right! Let’s divide into 4-5 groups. Choose one popular celebration in our country and try to tell about it for your class mates. You may use these new words.

(Каждая группа рассказывает, что они делают в разные праздники, используя новую лексику. Другие группы проверяют правильность выполнения).

T: Good work! Look at the text at page 96 and think what can we study today? Look at the title of the text and the first sentence in each paragraph. What do you expect to read?

S: Maybe about different celebrations, when, how and where do we celebrate holidays?

T: So, may be you are right.

Ex. 3 on p. 96. Complete the gaps (1-5). Please, change with your neighbors. Let’s listen the text and check it.

T: Well done. I’ll give shits of paper. Match the words to form word expressions.

(Учащиеся составляют словосочетания, затем проверяют вместе с учителем).

T: Do you know any English celebrities?

S: Yes, there are a lot of celebrations such us Thanksgiving day, Christmas…

T: Do you know how English people usually celebrate it?

S: For example, on Thanksgiving day people cook turkey and invite friends and relatives.

T: All right. Anything else?

(Учитель просит обучающихся вспомнить праздники стран изучаемого языка, выводит популярные праздники на экран, просит ответить на вопросы о том, как они обычно проводят эти праздники, что делают во время праздников, используя лексику по теме урока, опираясь на подстановочную таблицу, выведенную на экран).

T: Ok. Now, let’s work with text. Find the corresponding English sentences in the text.

- Фермеры украшают своих коров цветами.

- В Северной Индии собирают пшеницу весной.

- Люди наряжаются и зажигают огни.

- Ok, what’s the English for –клюквенный соус?

- Кулинарный конкурс

S: - Farmers decorate their cows with flowers.

- In Northern India they harvest their wheat in spring.

- People dress up and light fires.

- Cranberry sauce.

- Cookery competition.

T: Well done! Go through the grammar. The theme of it is: The Countable/Uncountable nouns. (слайд 5).

Countable nouns have a singular and plural forms: a notebook, three notebooks.

Uncountable nouns don’t have a plural form.

There are types of uncountable nouns:

Food: cheese , butter, salt, rice, sugar.

Drink: water, coffee, tea, milk,juice.

А/an + countable noun in the singular: a banana, an apple.

Some + countable nouns in the plural: Give me some bananas.

Uncountable nouns (What we can’t count): some milk/ NOT: a milk.

T: Let’s do the ex. 6 b on p. 97.

(Учащиеся выполняют упражнение, осуществляется взаимопроверка).

V. Подведение итогов – 3 мин.

T: What we have spoke about in this lesson?

What English popular celebration do you now?

VI. Домашнее задание – 1 мин.

T: Your homework is Ex. 9, p.97. Think of a celebration in our country. Complete a fact file about it.
