Цель урока: Развитие иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции

Задачи: Развитие иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции

Практические:

• Обучить навыкам чтения с извлечением конкретной информации из прочитанного текста;

• Обучить речевым навыкам выражения собственного мнения и отношения к существующим проблемам;

• Развивать навыки аудирования.

Воспитательные:

• Формировать у учащихся уважение и интерес к культуре других стран;

• Формировать потребность в практическом использовании английского языка в социально-культурной сфере;

• воспитывать культуру общения.

Развивающие:

• Развивать у учащихся интерес к изучению английского языка;

• Углублять познавательные мотивы;

• Расширять кругозор на существующие социальные поблемы.

Планируемые результаты (УУД):

Предметные:

• Уметь извлекать конкретную информацию из прочитанного текста;

• Уметь высказывать собственное мнение, используя знакомый речевой материал;

• Уметь воспринимать на слух прочитанную информацию.

There are many schools all over the world. But are there enough schools for every child to be helped and guided? Unfortunately, the answer is no.

Many people say that there are not enough schools in the world. They also say that some children have to walk long distances to get to school, because there is no school in the place where they live. Whether this fact is true or not, today we will talk about some school problems. To do that we need some words.

Benefit - выгода,

brief - краткий,

busy - занятой,

conditions – условия,

event - событие,

impossible - невозможный,

media – средства массовой информации,

sponsored - спонсированный,

support - поддержка,

tough – нелёгкий, трудный,

well-paid – хорошо оплачиваемый,

lack of - недостаток,

put into action – приводить в действие,

share - делиться,

expect - ожидать,

rent - аренда,

raise money – собирать деньги,

bring problems to people's attention – привлекать внимание людей к проблемам

Учитель: Now look at the questions in the exercise 1 (p. 58). Say do you agree with the statements provided in the exercise or not and why. Use the words from the glossary.

Ученики: опираясь на фоновые знания и предложенный глоссарий высказывают свое отношение к утверждениям из упр. 1 на стр. 58.

Учитель: let’s look at the words in the WordSearch table. You have to find 6 words from the active vocabulary. Words can be set across and down.

Listening

Учитель: Listen to the audio and try to find what kind of problems the author of the letter touches in it.

Учитель: Tell me please what problems does the author of the letter face in her new school?

Ученики: lack of teachers, teachers are under-paid, long distance for school to continue education.

Reading

Учитель: Let’s read and check your answers.

Ученики: читают по цепочке текст «My friend needs a teacher».

Учитель: Which problems have you missed after listening task?

Ученики: отвечают на вопрос, добавляют предыдущий ответ новыми идеями.

Учитель: Listen to the audio and catch problems which are discussed in the audio.

Ученики: слушают аудио и делают пометки об услышанном, затем отвечают на вопросы: What problems of education are discussed in the audio? What ways of solving problems are provided in the audio?

Keys: absence of enough schools or teachers, over 15 millions teachers are needed all over the world, village schools lack teachers, nit many people can afford to send their kinds to cities schools, ministry of education has to take responsibility and try to changer the situation, creating more state schools with enough teachers and supplies, involve media in getting acquainted with the problem, raise money to help or setup a charity, write a letter to a Ministry of education.
