ЦЕЛИ УРОКА:

а) образовательная - организовать работу учащихся по совершенствованию навыков чтения и говорения в рамках изучаемого материала; закрепить лексико- грамматический материал по теме «Education»;

б) развивающая – развивать внимание, воображение, память, языковую догадку, творческие способности; учить анализировать и выбирать нужную информацию;

с) воспитательная – воспитывать уважительное отношение к окружающим, формировать культуру общения при работе в парах и группе; содействовать расширению кругозора учащихся и сохранению семейных традиций.

Let’s start our studying. Last lesson we learnt about exams in the UK and GCSE. What do you remember about it?

Now open your student’s book (page 53,lesson 6), look through the information and try to define the lesson’s aim.

The main aim of our lesson is to learn about different types of schools in Britain. We are going to develop reading and speaking skills.(Презентация, слайд 1)

But first, let’s talk a little bit about the place where we are right now. (Презентация, слайд 2)

What is the official name of the educational institution? Is it a nice place? Why? What do students get there?

Now let’s learn a little poem about the college.

Novopolotsk Music College is a really nice place! Students get there skills and knowledge to apply in any case.

Look at our active vocabulary for today:

Read the conversation between Kiril and Jane in pairs and explain what the words in bold mean. (Student’s book,p.53 ex.1b)

Now you know what the words mean and it’s time to learn about famous British schools. Let’s divide our big group into three little groups and do exercise 2 a on page 55. (Презентация, слайд 4). Read one of the texts and fill in the tables. (Приложение А) You have 7 minutes. (Учитель раздает таблицы и в процессе самостоятельной работы учащихся наблюдает за их деятельностью. Если учащиеся в затруднении при выполнении данного задания, учитель помогает им)

Учащиеся получают таблицы, которые заполняют в процессе чтения.

Time for the task is over and now let’s summarize what you have learnt. Every group will speak about the school they have read about. During their speaking other groups have to fill in the tables the missing information. (Презентация, слайд 5,6,7)

Учащиеся предоставляют информацию, которую они записали в таблицу. Учащиеся которые не имеют данной информации, слушают и заполняют свои таблицы.

As we have learnt, all the schools are boarding. Students live there, study and look forward when they can go back to their families on holidays. (Презентация, слайд 8) Traditionally they gather together and feel happiness. They sing, dance, play games and have fun. Let’s try to show the atmosphere when all members of the family come back. Take the card with your role. (Учащиеся получают карточки с описанием ситуации и героев) (Приложение Б) (карточки для помощи лежат отдельно. Ими можно воспользоваться если учащийся не смог сформулировать вопрос.) (Приложение В)

1.Read the information and imagine the character. Try to play the character.

2.Ask a member of the family a question. If it is difficult, use the help box.

3.Follow the family tradition (singing a song).

Учащиеся получают игровые карточки, инструкции и разыгрывают ситуацию.

Singing together is wonderful. Now we are coming back to our classroom and drawing conclusions.
