Тема: «Проблемы соседства».

Цели:

- образовательные: способствовать формированию и совершенствованию навыков аудирования и говорения по теме “Who are you”, изучить и закрепить

знание лексических единиц по теме, организовать деятельность учащихся по проверке сформированности языковых и речевых умений, способствовать совершенствованию лексических навыков по теме.

- развивающие: способствовать развитию умений учащихся обобщать полученные знания, проводить анализ, синтез, сравнения, делать необходимые

выводы, обеспечить условия для развития умений грамотно, четко и точно выражать свои мысли, обеспечить условия для развития внимательности,

наблюдательности и умений выделять главное, обеспечить условия для овладения учащимися алгоритмом решения задач;

- воспитательные: обеспечить условия для воспитания положительного интереса к изучаемому предмету, создать условия, обеспечивающие формирование у учеников навыков самоконтроля, формировать культуру общения на основе тематических ситуаций, обеспечить условия по формированию сознательной дисциплины и норм поведения учащихся;

Ход урока.

Начало урока.

1. Организационный момент.

Good morning, students, I’m very glad to see you, sit down,

please. Answer my questions:

- Who is on duty today?

- What date is it today?

Please, put down the date on the blackboard!

- What is the weather like today? Do you like it?

Today we continue working on the topic “Who are you”. So, what determines, who we are? It’s everything that surrounds us: people, problems, different phenomena… The previous lesson we were talking about beggars, homeless people, which has become a real problem nowadays, especially in big cities, megapolises, even in Kursk. And today we are going to discuss another point of our social background – our neighbourhood and all the problems connected with it.

Now, boys and girls, let’s check our words. (фронтальный опрос лексики по теме «Who are you», «City»)

Многие города России перенаселены сейчас.

- capital

Москва – столичный город.

- cosmopolitan

Нью-Йорк – многонациональный город, потому что люди различных национальностей живут там.

Лондон – исторический город. Там есть много статуй и памятников, знаменитых мест и достопримечательностей.

- market

Милан – торговый город. Люди часто ездят туда чтобы купить одежду и другие вещи.

- boom

В наше время существует множество быстро растущих городов, которые развиваются быстро.

- shanty

К счастью в Британии нет бедных городов.

- new

Курчатов – новый город.

Основной этап урока.

1. Активизация лексики в речи.

And now, students, let’s get study some new words and expressions that we’ll need for today’s lesson.

Open your books at page 86, look at exercise 1. Let’s read the word combinations and try to guess their meanings. Look at the pictures and try to match them with some of the expressions.

OK, students, everybody understands that such situations often irritate or annoy people. And if this happens they express annoyance. Let’s look at the table. Here are some useful phrases that you’ll need for expressing that

1. Формирование навыков аудирования.

And now let’s listen to two people talking about some of the problems mentioned above. Your task is to understand what problem is discussed. So, listen and try to figure out phrases that we have just studied.

Bob: the amount of rubbish everywhere, people not using the bins (It makes my blood boil, It’s a disgrace).

Helen: overcrowded public transport and lack of parking (It really gets on my nerves, I just can’t put up with it anymore).

Peter: stray dogs (It really annoys me that, It’s a disgrace!).

1. Совершенствование навыков чтения и аудирования.

OK, thank you for your work.

Our next step is to read and translate the dialogue at page 87. We are first going to listen to it then several students will read.

Let’s start.

Let’s answer the questions on the dialogue.

And the final part of our lesson is the listening task. Take small papers, put down your name and numbers from 1 to 7.
