Цели:

Повторить и закрепить лексику по теме "Дом, квартира";
Отработать грамматику по теме "Present Simple";
Освоить формообразование и использование в связной речи структур there is/there are;
Научиться составлять рассказ о своей комнате с использованием предлогов места.

Задачи:
Описывать свою комнату с использованием ранее изученной лексики;
Совершенствовать навыки говорения.

Приемы работы: парные, индивидуальные, самостоятельная работа с текстом.
Оборудование урока: УМК "Spotlight" 5 под редакцией Ю.Е. Ваулиной, Дж. Дули; карточки с картинками комнат; аудио к тексту учебника.
Новые слова: exactly.
Продолжительность урока: 45 минут.

Организационный момент (3 мин)
Teacher: Hello, dear pupils.
Ps: Hello, teacher.
Teacher: I'm glad to see you. How are you doing today?
Ps: I'm good, thank you. And you?
Teacher: I'm very well. Thank you. Sit down, please.
Teacher: Tell me, please, what day is it today?
Ps: It's...
Teacher: Yes, you're right. And what date is it today?
Ps: It's...
Teacher: And do you remember what month is it now?
Ps: It's...
Teacher: Very good. How clever you are!
Фонетическая зарядка. Введение в тему (10 мин)
Teacher: Look at the board. Here you can see some photos. What do you see on them?
Ps: A bed, a wardrobe, a desk, a lamp, a carpet.
Teacher: Yes, you are right. Have you got such things in your bedroom?
Ps: Yes, I have.
Teacher: So, how do you think what is the topic of our lesson?
Ps: The topic of the lesson is my bedroom.
Teacher: Right you re, pupils. There is a short poem on the board with some missing words. Look through and think what words you should fill in. Firstly, let's read these words. Repeat after me: shelf, wall, room, red, bed.
(Ученики повторяют слова за учителем)
Teacher: Go to the board and write down the missing words.
(Ученики по очереди выходят к доске и вписывают пропущенное слово)
Teacher: Let's read the whole poem all together.
(Хором читают получившийся стих)

Изучение нового материала (20 мин)
Teacher: Open your books, pupils, on p. 50 ex. 1b. Look at Peter's bedroom. What colours do you see on this picture?
Ps: Brown, orange, yellow, white.
Teacher: Great. What furniture has Peter got in his bedroom?
Ps: The bed, the lamp, the bookcase, the desk, the chair, the computer, the poster.
Teacher: Well done, pupils. So, where's the lamp? Where is the poster? First of all, let's revise the prepositions of place. Look at ex. 1a, listen to the tape recorder and repeat after it.
(Слушают аудио и повторяют за диктором предлоги места)
Teacher: Great job, pupils! Now, please make dialogues asking and answering about Peter's bedroom. Use ex. 1b as an example.
Example:
P1: Where's the football?
P2: It's under the bed. Where are the books?
P1: They're on the bed. Where is the poster?
P2: It's on the wall. Where's the desk?
P1: It's next to the window...

Teacher: Think of 6 names of furniture you expect to read and listen in the text.
Ps: A bed, a desk, a chair, a wardrobe, a bookcase, a lamp.
Teacher: Now, let's listen and check.

Teacher: Now, pupils, it's your turn to describe your own bedroom. Make dialogues asking and answering about your own bedroom. Use ex. 4 on p.50 as a model.
(Ученики составляют диалог, задавая вопросы о комнате друга и отвечая на них)
P1: Is there a bed in your bedroom?
P2: Yes, there is. Where exactly it?
P1: It's next to the wardrobe.
