Тема: Время праздников.
Цели:
Обучающие
Повторить и закрепить лексику по теме "Праздники";
Отработать грамматику по теме "Present Continuous";
Освоить использование в связной речи фраз с глаголами make/do ;
Развивающие
Развивать навыки чтения;
Развивать монологическую речь;
Воспитательные
Воспитать уважительное отношения к национальным и международным праздникам.
Задачи:
Описывать подготовку к празднику;
Совершенствовать навыки говорения.
Тип урока: изучение нового материала.
Приемы работы: парные, индивидуальные, групповые.
Оборудование урока: УМК "Spotlight" 6 под редакцией Ю.Е. Ваулиной, Дж. Дули; карточки с изображением праздников.
Новые слова: fried baby eels.
Продолжительность урока: 45 минут.
Ход урока
Организационный момент (3 мин)
Teacher: Hello, dear pupils.
Ps: Hello, teacher.
Teacher: I'm glad to see you. How are you doing today?
Ps: I'm good, thank you. And you?
Teacher: I'm very well. Thank you. Sit down, please.
Teacher: Tell me, please, what day is it today?
Ps: It's...
Teacher: Yes, you're right. And what date is it today?
Ps: It's...
Teacher: And do you remember what month is it now?
Ps: It's...
Teacher: Very good. How clever you are!

Teacher: Look at the board. What pictures do you see?
Ps: Different holidays.
Teacher: Right you are. Do you know these holidays?
Ps: New Year, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, May Day, Valentine's Day etc.
Teacher: Very good. What holidays do you like the most, pupils?
Ps: I like ...
Teacher: Let's read the short poem and guess what holiday is it.
May your holidays
be happy days,
filled with love
and laughter.

bring joy your way
in the year
that follows after!

Teacher: Right you are pupils. So, how do you think what is the topic of our today's lesson?

Teacher: Yes, today we are going to talk about festive times and preparations.
3. Изучение нового материала (20 мин)
Teacher: Open your books on p.46 ex. 1a. Look through the phrases and listen to the tape recorder. Fill in make or do.
(Ученики слушают аудио и вставляют пропущенные слова)
Teacher: Now let's read and check.

Teacher: Great job, pupils. Now look at the pictures. What are the people doing? Make sentences orally.

Example:
The woman in picture 1 is making tea.
The woman in picture 2 is making a special dish.
The man and the woman in picture 3 are doing the washing-up etc.

Физкультминутка
We are running, (бег на месте)
We are jumping, (прыгаем на месте)
Trying sky to get. (поднимаемся на носочки, руки вверх)
We are skipping, (перескакиваем с ноги на ногу на месте)
Trying sky to get. (поднимаемся на носочки, руки вверх)
We are flying like a real jet. (руки в стороны, показывая самолёт)
We are hopping, (прыгаем на месте на одной ноге потом на другой)
We are climbing (как будто карабкаемся вверх)
Like a funny cat. (рисуем в воздухе усы как у кота)
Mew. (садимся на место)
Teacher: Look at the ex. 2a on p. 46. Look at the heading of the email. Who's sending it to whom?
Ps: Rosa is sending an email to Lizzie.
Teacher: Right you are. Let's read the email, put the paragraphs in the right order and knows what the email is about.

Ps: There are Rosa's grandma, aunt, dad, mum, sister and brother in the pictures. Dad is doing shopping. Mum is making a special dish. Aunt Betsie is making tea. Grandma is doing the gardening etc.

4. Обобщение, систематизация и применение знаний (5 мин)
Teacher: Now, pupils imagine you are preparing to a holiday. Describe what you and your family members are doing.
(Ученики описывают подготовку к празднику, используя упр. 2, как образец)
Example:
We are getting ready to New Year. Mum is doing the dusting. Dad is making a phone call. I am making decorations. Grandma is making a special dish. Everybody is happy.
Teacher: Well done. Thank you for your answers.

Teacher: So, pupils, what is the topic of our today's lesson?
