Тема урока: «Уэльс».

Цели урока: обобщение и закрепление пройденного материала по теме «Уэльс».

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

- совершенствовать лексические навыки на уровне высказывания;

- тренировать учащихся в умении вести общение на английском языке в предлагаемых ситуациях.

Развивающие:

- развитие лингвистических способностей (фонематический слух, языковая догадка, имитация);

- развитие основных психических процессов, связанных с речевой деятельностью (речевого мышления, внимания, воображения), способность к общению;

- развитие творческих способностей детей;

- развитие коммуникативных навыков.

Воспитательные:

– развитие у учащихся чувства гордости за свою школу;

- развитие толерантности к одноклассникам и уважения к учителям;

- снятие языкового барьера.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

1. Приветствие.

- Good-morning, boys and girls! I am very glad to see you. At first let me introduce myself. My name is Guzel Albertovna. And I’ll be your teacher for today’ lesson. And now greet your face partner, then your shoulder partner and me. Sit down, please!

- Today we’ll continue to talk about Wales.

• Look at the board. Here you can see the tongue twister.

Which witch wished which wicked wish?

Ученики разучивают скороговорку. Повторяют хором, индивидуально за учителем.

1. Речевая разминка.

- Do you like to travel?

- What countries do you want to visit?

IV. Активизация пройденного материала.

1. Фразеологический глагол to look.

• Let’s remember phrasal verb look:

To look at – посмотреть на

To look for - искать

To look through – просмотреть, бегло прочитать

To look after – присматривать, ухаживать

To look up (in) – посмотреть (в каком-то источнике)

TIC-TAC-TOE.

-I’ll give you sheets of paper. Think of 9 words and write them down on the sheets. Use phrasal verb to look. Please, make up sentences using the words

Учитель раздает ребятам карточки (всего их 9) и предлагает, подумать и записать слова, затем используя структуру Tic-Tac-Toe составить предложения. Ученики записывают предложения в тетради.

- And now check your sentences. Student 2 will begin. (CONTINIOUS – ROUND – ROBIN)

Учащиеся по очереди зачитывают предложения более одного круга и исправляют друг друга. Начинает ученик под номером 2.

• And now let’s look the presentation. Listen to me very carefully.

• Wales is a part of the United Kingdom. The country borders on England in the east and is washed by the Atlantic Ocean and the Irish Sea in the west. Wales is not a very big country with a population of about three million people. There are two official languages in Wales – Welsh and English, both of which are taught in schools.

• Wales has its own interesting culture including language, customs, holidays and music. The country is represented by the symbol of the red Welsh Dragon, which is depicted on the national flag. The flag of Wales, brought to Britain by Romans, is one of the oldest in the world. Other symbols of the country are leeks and daffodils. These are usually worn on St. David’s Day, which is celebrated on the 1st of March. St. David is the patron saint of Wales. The country has its own national game called rugby.

• Wales has high mountains, including Mount Snowdon, the second highest mountain in Britain. Snowdon looks very peaceful and beautiful. Cardiff, the modern capital of Wales, has a Roman castle and a modern shopping centre. Cardiff is an industrial city, which also has a cathedral, a university.

• Now let’s answer the questions together.
