Поурочное планирование на тему Communication  around the world  для 4 классов. Урок начинается с проблемного вопроса, что такое коммуникация, как вы думаете, через что мы можем общаться с друг другом.  На втором этапе ученикам предлагается новые слова и упражнения на  закрепление. Также на этапе чтения текста, ученики работают с новыми словами, затем читают текст и работают в группах. На интерактивной доске даны вопросы для каждой группе с опроными словами, чтобы ученики выделяли главную мысль. В конце урока  идетр обратная связь. Чемодан, мясорубка, корзина.

Pre-Writing Activity / Poster Preparation

  • Show the example of what the poster should look like on the projector. Have the class read the sentences aloud.

  • Elicit some examples of criteria required for the poster from students (i.e. does it have a title? Did the person use periods and capital letters? How many sentences did they write?

  • Pass out the poster planning sheet. As a class, go through the official requirements on the self-check criteria area.

  • After going over the criteria for the poster, give students about five minutes to complete the questions about their favorite technology.

****They should answer in COMPLETE sentences as given in the examples.

As students finish, have them come up and conference with the teacher about their answers. Help the student correct answer and give feedback.

My favorite technology is social media. I really like to use Facebook. It is my favorite social media because I like to see what my friends are doing. I feel excited when I use Facebook. I often use Facebook because I like to use it almost every day!

Writing / Poster Creation

Students write about their favorite technology according to the example template.

  • Once a student has checked their answers on the planning sheet with a teacher, they may have the printed poster template to begin work on their technology poster.

  • Continue to display the example poster to scaffold students.

Differentiation – encourage stronger students to write more or explore a technology item not from their vocabulary. Or, write about more functions of the technology using more verbs, like upload, download etc.

Differentiation: Allow students needing support to carry their vocabulary with them. Encourage stronger students to create questions that may not use the vocabulary they were given, or matches them in a different way (i.e. use apps on a smartphone)

Health and safety check

Differentiation will be done by allowing stronger students the space and creativity to ask questions beyond what they have been given in their notes. Students needing more support may use their notes during the survey activity and the reading practice.


The teacher will be able to assess how well the students have acquired the new words through the warm up review. The teacher will be able to asses if the students are able to place words using context through the reading activity. The teacher can assess pronunciation and oral skills through the survey.

Lessons will be delivered in accordance with health and safety standards.
