Глагол "to be" ( быть, находиться, являться) в настоящем простом времени

Примечание: "to be" употребляется в следующих моделях:

• What is she? She is a teacher.

• What’s your job? – I’m a doctor.

• How old is Nancy? She is 28 (years old).

• He is a tall dark man.

• The book isn't interesting, it's boring.

• Where are John and Alice from? They are from England.

• I am afraid of dogs.

• The child is hungry / thirsty / cold / hot / bored.

• We are at work / on holiday / at home

Упражнение 1. а) Перепишите предложения, используя краткие и полные формы глагола:

Пример: She is at home. – She’s at home. We’re here. – We are here.

I. Глагол "to have (got)" в настоящем времени

Примеры:

We have got friends in France, but we haven’t got friends in Italy.

Nicky's got a sister and a brother.

Have you got a sister? Yes, I have (No, I haven’t).

Примечания.

1) Глагол to "have got" употребляется для обозначения принадлежности вещей, при описании людей и животных.2) Глагол "to have got" употребляется в устойчивых выражениях:

I've got a headache; I've got a cold; I've got a problem; I've got a temperature, etc.

3) Глагол "to have" является синонимом "to have got"; в третьем лице единственного числа глагол имеет форму "has", отрицательную и вопросительную форму он образует с помощью вспомогательных глаголов "do/does".

Примеры:

I have a dog. Do you have a pet? Jack has a car, but he doesn't have a yacht.
