Valentin Tavlay was born in Baranovichi. The Belarus Soviet poet, the participant of revolutionary and national-liberation movement in the Western Belarus The first collection - "Selected works" (1947). Its poetry differs high civilization, revolutionary humanism (a poem "Companion", a poem «the Letter from prison», etc.). Sketches of "Kotovtsy", "Maria Turina" are devoted destiny of companions-guerrillas. The author of literary-critical and publicistic articles. Translated into the Belarus language of product of A.Mickiewicz, I.Krylov, etc. This name is devoted to the central library for children in our town.His bust is established in Vjalika Krapotka Slonimsky region.

Sergey Gritsevets

Gritsevets Sergey Ivanovich (6.7.1909—16.9.1939), the pilot, twice the Hero of Soviet Union (2/22/1939 and 8/25/1939), the major (1938). A member of the CPSU with 1931. Was born in village Borovtsy of the Grodno province in a family of the peasant-Byelorussian. In the Soviet Army with 1931. Has ended the Orenburg military school of pilots (1932) and school of air fight (1936). Served in destructive aircraft as the pilot, the commander of a link, group and the instructor-pilot. The Halhin-goal (1939) participated the volunteer in Civil war in Spain in 1936—38 and in fights with Japanese interventionists on the river. Has personally brought down over 40 planes of the opponent. It is awarded the order Lenin. Was lost on duty around settlement Bolbasovo of Vitebsk region BSSR.

Was born on January, 28th, 1943 in village Fedjuki, Belarus.

Has ended director's faculty of Theatrical school of a name of B.V.Schukin (1967), ВКСР (1973, George Danelia's workshop)Worked at theaters of Moscow, Crimea, on to/st "Belarusfilm".The honored worker of arts Belarus the USSR.The national actor of Byelorussia (1990).

Tragically was lost in accident on April, 27th, 2002 in Moscow. It is buried on East cemetery in Minsk.

Baranovichi is situated between Shchara and its inflow Myshanka. Baranovichi is practically on a straight line connecting the regional center Brest and capital of Belarus Minsk . The nearest cities: Ляховичи , Slonim , Novogrudok , the Lead , Volkovysk .
