Warm-up (3–5 minutes)

Books closed. Books closed. Revise have got with the class. Tell each student to hold a pen and to stand up. Hold a pen yourself for the whole class to see. Say I’ve got a pen, gesturing that you are talking about yourself. Ask the class to repeat.

Teacher elicits the topic of the lesson. Teacher introduces the learning objectives of the lesson.

The teacher shows the pictures about celebrations.

Look at the cartoon at the top of the page with the students. Ask them what they see and elicit that there is a man trying to cook a turkey. As them what the celebration is and elicit that it could be Christmas or Thanksgiving (in the USA).
