The Phantom of the Opera

One of the most famous musicals of our time, the "Phantom of the Opera" is represented on this stage since 1986.

It was opened in 1705 and was called the Queen's Theater

(after Queen Anne)

Four years later, in 1715, the name of the theater was changed in honor of the new King of England - George I.

The new building.

It was built in 1791. In this new building were put such famous productions as: "The Magic Flute", "The Barber of Seville", "Faust".

In 1837 the throne was taken by Queen Victoria, so the theater changed its name again. It was known as Her Majesty’s theatre.

Viewers reappeared in the new building only in 1875. There were two famous staging "Carmen" and "Rigoletto" in 1889.

Revival of the temple of art.

The reconstructing of the last building of Her Majesty's Theater was started in 1896. It was opened to the public in 1897.
