The population of London is about 8 million. London is situated on the river Thames. London is divided into several parts: the City, the West End, the East End and Westminster.  The City is the oldest part of London. It is a financial and business center. The West End is the part where rich people live. You can see the best hotels, shops, clubs, parks and  houses here.  There are many factories and ports of London in the East End

Now you can see the geographical centre  of London Trafalgar Square In the middle of it , there is the famous Nelson Column in memory of Admiral Nelson’s victory at Trafalgar. Trafalgar Square is a public square in the City of Westminster, Central London. Its name commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar, a British naval victory in the Napoleonic Wars over France and Spain that took place on 21 October 1805. It is known as Nelson’s Column. This square is used for walking, demonstrations and holidays. It is very popular among tourists and citizens.

Yeoman Warders Beefeaters or Yeoman Warders not only guard the tower, but also give guided tours of the fortress. The Ceremony of the Keys Among Beefeaters’ duties is the ceremonial closing of the gates each evening. Known as the Ceremony of the Keys, this 700-year-old tradition sees the Chief Warder present the keys of the tower to the Resident Governor.

Tower Bridge This Tower bridge was built in 1894. It is still used in London. It regulates a large part of great traffic of the capital. The pedestrian part is closed. People can’t walk there. Buckingham Palace The Buckingham Palace is the London residence of the British Queen– Elizabeth II .
