Barack Hussein Obama Jr valid (since 20 January 2009) the 44th President of the United States of America. Nobel peace prize 2009. Before being elected President was a U.S. Senator from the state. The first African American to be nominated for President of the United States from one of the two major parties[2]. Obama is the man, but, unlike the majority of black Americans, not the descendant of slaves, and the son of a student from Kenya and a white American mother. A graduate of Columbia University and law School at Harvard University, where he was the first in its history the editor-African-American University edition

After winning the primary election in March 2004, Obama gave a major speech at the Democratic national Convention in July 2004. He was elected to the Senate in November 2004, gaining 70 % Golosova Illinois. Was re-elected for a second term in 2012.   • 9 October 2009 received the Nobel peace prize with the wording "for extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people"[3]. Obama became the third President of the United States, after Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, who received the Nobel peace prize while in office (she was also awarded to former President Jimmy Carter). On the 2012 presidential election Obama ahead of Republican candidate MITT Romney, gaining 332 votes in the electoral College (51.1 % of the votes) against 206 MITT Romney
