Semyon Nikitich Urusov
1926-1991
was the discoverer of Tyumen oil.
Born in 1926. Participation in the Great Patriotic War.
Semyon Nikitich Urusov graduated Tyumen Professional training school in 1957. The training school will become our college.
After completing his studies, he began working as an assistant driller for Bagrat Melik-Karamov Баграта Мелик-Карамова at the first exploration well in Tyumen, which was drilled from February 15, 1949 to June 5, 1950.
He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR. He was a delegate to the XXII Congress of the CPSU. He died on April 22, 1991, and was buried at the Chervishevsky cemetery in Tyumen.

The Shaim-Tyumen oil pipeline has a diameter |daɪˈæmɪtə(r)| of 520 mm.
By 1965, 29 oil and 26 gas fields had been discovered.
Erve Raul-Yuri (1909 - 1991) is a geologist who led the search and discovery of Tyumen oil.
- In 1933, he graduated with honors from the Higher Engineering Courses in Kiev. He participated in the Great Patriotic War.
- In August 1952, he was assigned to the Tyumen Oil Exploration Expedition.
- During his tenure, more than 250 oil and gas fields were explored and discovered, including the unique oil fields of Mamontovskoye and Samotlorskoye, and the gas fields of Medvezhye, Urengoy, and Yamburg .

V.I. Muravlenko was buried in Tyumen, at the Chervishevskoye cemetery. In 2001 he was reburied at the Vagankovskoye cemetery in Moscow.

Samotlor field
The Samotlorskoye oil field (Samotlorsk) is the largest oil field in Russia and the 7th largest in the world.
In 1974, the region became the leading oil producer in the USSR.
In 1977, the Tyumen Region became the leading gas producer in the country.
In 1980, the Siberian began producing 1 million tons of oil and 1 billion cubic meters of gas per day.
The Tyumen Region was awarded the Order of Lenin (June 9, 1967).

Druzhba Oil Pipeline
Druzhba is the world's largest oil pipelines. It was built in the 1960s to transport oil in Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and the GDR. The system includes 9,000 km of pipelines.
In 1978, Leonid Brezhnev, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, visited Tyumen.
