He was a short-story writer and the greatest American humorist. He was fond of collecting things which nobody had. His two masterpieces are “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”. (Mark Twain) He acted at the London theatre called “The Globe” and wrote many plays for it. One of his famous tragedies is “Romeo and Juliette”. (William Shakespeare) She wrote 68 novels and more than a hundred stories. The main characters of her books are the detectives Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. (Agatha Christie) He was born in Moscow and died in St. Petersburg. He is the greatest Russian poet.
