Types of puppets

Listening

Everyone loves puppets! They are fun, sometimes crazy, and even when they are sad they still make us laugh.

There are different types of puppets:

• A finger puppet
• A glove puppet
• A marionette

A finger puppet

Finger puppets start with a tube that fits over your finger.

A glove puppet

Glove puppets are made of glove.

A marionette

Marionettes hang on strings.

Shadow Puppet

A shadow puppeteer learns to move the puppet in and out of the light so its shadow grows.

Let’s move a little!

• Move your body,
• Move your heads,
• Move your shoulders,
• Move your legs,
• Jump a little,
• Run and go,
• Sit, stand up,
• And let’s go on.

The puppets are usually made of:
