Justification of the problem: English is the most important means of communication between different nationalities in our time. Mutual understanding is an important part of politics, business, and culture. Misuse of English forms can lead to great discord, which can later affect even the economy in the country. So I decided to understand the difference between British English and American English.

Tasks Finding and studying information about the differences in vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation in a language. Conduct a survey among the students of School №5 and make a chart of the results. Analyze the result of the study and map it .

The English language evolved over hundreds of years and, of course, was constantly changing: new words borrowed from Latin, German and French appeared in it, existing English words were changed, and so on. Sometimes even native speakers do not understand 100% of other dialects of English, and this is an undeniable fact. The British colonies were the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and not only. So there is no reason to be surprised that English is spoken in these countries today. Of course, it would be an impossible task to discuss the accents of each individual region and locality, so we will focus on the most notable discrepancies.

Conclusion The result of my work was a map by which we can determine which dialect is best used in the leading countries. I think this map will be useful for those who study English and are going to travel and work abroad
