Great world Kamchatka

Far to the Far East of Russia there is a large peninsula. It is covered with glaciers and tundra, geysers and smoking volcanoes, crystal clear rivers and beautiful forests/ The name for this wonderful land is Kamchatka.

Kamchatka is a land of volcanoes. Kamchatka volcanoes are a part of the Pacific « Ring of Fire». There are about 160 dormant and 29 active volcanoes. The most famous of them is Klyuchevskaya Sopka, the highest active volcano of Eurasian continent.

Kamchatka has area about 470 000 square kilometers and stretches from the north to the south for about 1500 kilometers. It is washed by the Pacific Oceans from the east and by the Sea of Okhotsk from the west.

Travelling through kamchatka you can observe brown bear, moose, wolf, snow sheep, foxes and many other animals and birds in their native habitat.
