Introduction

• With the development of computer technology, other industries began to appear and improve. Today we will consider one of them.

• Many experts agree that one of the main reasons for the dissemination of information on flash media is the development of the mobile communications market, although not only this.

Electronic carriers include media for single or multiple recording (usually digital) electrically:

• Optical (CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, Blu-ray Disc);
• Semiconductor (flash memory, SSD-disks);
• Magnetic (magnetic tapes, floppy disks, HMDD)

Optical disc

• Optical disc is a collective name for data carriers made in the form of disks, reading from which is conducted by means of optical (laser) radiation.

Flash memory

• Flash memory is a kind of semiconductor technology of electrically reprogrammable memory (EEPROM)

Solid-state drive

• Solid-state drive - a computer non-mechanical storage device based on memory chips, which replaced the HDD.

Magnetic tape

• Magnetic tape - a carrier of information in the form of a flexible tape, covered with a thin magnetic layer. The information on the magnetic tape is fixed by magnetic recording.

• Having considered this topic, we can say that with the development of science and technology, new media of information, more advanced, will appear that will supplant the outdated media that we are using now.
• The rapid development of new information technologies thus leads to the creation of new, more information-intensive, reliable and affordable media of documented information.
