It is a very big, beautiful and well-known village. Our village is about 2000 years old. It is called second Bukhara. There were 13 mosques and 4 madrassahs in Karnak. One of them is Shammat Eshon madrasah It was built in the 18 th century. It is a history museum now.

There are many sacred places in our village. Some of them are “Mukim ata”, “Imom Bohiliy ata” and others . There are shops, a hospital, a post office, four secondary schools, kindergartens, cafes, wedding houses, a bank, a club and mosques in our village.

About 17.500 people live in Karnak. Many doctors, teachers, engineers, writers, poets, scientists, architects, lawyers were born in our village, The great Uzbek writers Odil Yakubov, Sunnatulla Anarbaev, Sadulla Siyayev were born, grew up and got education in our village too.

We study at Mahmud Kashgariy school. We love our teachers very much. One of our teachers Dolimjon Sayfullaev is our pride. He wrote a big “Kazakh-Uzbek” dictionary book. Now many people of Kazakhstan use this dictionary. He writes interesting things about our village. We can read them from the newspapers and magazines.

We celebrated the 2000 th anniversary of our village in 2014 . A new school , a kindergarden, a café, a wedding house, a square and shops were built. Many roads were repaired.

Yes, we like our own “nest” and shall do our best to make it the most beautiful place on earth. We are proud with our village.
