1. Introduction
The tourism industry continues to recover from the pandemic. Moscow has reached and even exceeded the pre-COVID levels as the domestic tourist flow grew by 22 per cent in 2023 compared to the record-breaking year of 2019. In the domestic market, the business tourism segment remains at 20 per cent, while the number of business trips increased by 28 per cent in 2023 on a year-to-year basis, the Russian capital maintaining a high pace of development in the travel industry thanks to improved infrastructure, new programs and focus on industry trends. Some significant tourism projects of the last year show which global industry trends serve as a beacon for present-day Moscow and how they help the city become better both for guests and residents themselves.
The main aim of the project is to investigate what places of interest tourists like visiting in Moscow and create a clear guidance for tourists who visit Moscow.
We set the following tasks: to study available materials on the issue; to analyze these materials; to make up questions to the experimental group; to conduct a survey; to analyze and systematize the results of the survey; to present the results in graphs; to find out how the results can be used in practice; to create a tourist guidebook.
As I decided to continue my project from the previous year with the aim of supplementing it and developing it even more, I delved into this topic. The final result will be a printed guide that all interested foreigners can use.
2. Main Body
We are glad to welcome you to the hero city, the capital of Russia, MOSCOW.
In this guide you can get acquainted with the main attractions of the city. For your convenience, all the places you should visit are divided into topics. The basic principle that we advise you to follow is to take a sample every day to study one topic, an area of city life. Of course, in this memory there are topics that cannot be devoted to the whole day, for example, the Gastro Tourism and Nature and Wildlife Areas in Moscow. However, we recommend that you take one or two days to visit the art museum and enjoy the architecture of the capital in order to penetrate Moscow as much as possible and learn something new about it.
We would like to note that this guidebook does not consider any types of housing (hotels, inns) in which tourists could stay. This is done because the needs, budgets and desires of all tourists are very different. We do not want to lengthen our small guide-book. Of course, we will continue our work and more chapters will appear in the future.
The guide was created thanks to people who lived or are living in Moscow. These were both ordinary Muscovites and foreigners, whose opinions, we are sure, you will be interested in listening to.

To the basic points and topics that were created last year, I decided to add topics that can not only make your leisure time in Moscow more enjoyable, but also help you decide on a university to get an education in Moscow. If a tourist is not in Moscow for the first time and has already visited all the places presented earlier, he can also turn his attention to the cultural cities located near the Capital.
Everything described in our work is not our subjective opinion. Many of the people we interviewed believe that Moscow is one of the best capitals in the world. Everything stated in the guide corresponds to the opinion of people living in the capital and is the result of our work with the respondents.
All above-mentioned statements prove that our work has a tangible practical significance. Our guidebook can be used by both foreign and local travelers or as part of educational program at educational institutions.
In the future, printed versions of my guide, as well as their electronic versions will help foreigners and tourists get the most out of Moscow.
