FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
"THE WORLD OF MY POSSIBILITIES"
Explanatory note
Readiness for vocational training includes awareness of three aspects among schoolchildren, which are expressed by the formula: need (knowledge of the demand for professions in the labor market), can (awareness of their abilities and capabilities), want (awareness of their interests and desires).
To implement these tasks in the practice of vocational education of schoolchildren, many interesting and diverse forms and methods of work are various socio-psychological trainings, exercises, games, individual tasks aimed at the formation of a certain personality quality necessary for professional fitness.
The results of diagnostics of psychological readiness of graduates to make a professional choice showed a number of problems in this area.
The purpose of the program is to develop and evaluate the interests and abilities
of students for a particular profession.
Tasks:
4. Expand students' knowledge about the labor market;
5. Contribute to the formation of an adequate self-assessment of yourself and your
capabilities;
6. Promote awareness of their own interests, opportunities,
abilities, skills and talents;
5. To assist students in projecting professions on themselves.
Program content
The program includes two parts, the first is devoted to career guidance classes, and the second to socio-psychological trainings, games and career guidance quests.
The main task of career guidance classes is to help students realize their capabilities. This type of occupation theoretically prepares students for a possible choice of professions.
Each lesson includes a diagnostic unit aimed at determining the level of development a particular mental function or personality quality necessary for
certain professions. Diagnostics is based on the self-assessment of schoolchildren,
teaches them to independently determine the results obtained and draw appropriate conclusions. In each lesson there is also a formative block in which teenagers are taught techniques for developing mental functions or character qualities necessary for a particular profession.
These classes are designed for grades 8 and 9.
