10 100 years ago Moscow was a very different town. It was a big town but not so big as we can see it today. There weren't so many cars that time in Moscow, but there were a lot of horses and horse carriage. Also there were tramways in Moscow. They were the very first tramways in Russia. There were a lot of shops, factories, cafes and restaurants in Moscow in the very beginning of the XIX century. But most of them were closed after revolution and the Civil war. As far as you understand there weren't any TV sets or computers in Moscow. There weren't internet or mobile network. People talked each other without any mobile phones or messengers. There were a lot of small private houses where people lived. We can also see many high-rise apartment houses in the pictures of Moscow 1920. But they weren’t so high and modern as today.
