Нестандартный урок английского языка "Канада" Данный нестандартный урок представляет собой урок-игру для закрепления, обобщения и систематизации страноведческих знаний по теме “Канада”.
Урок построен по принципу телевизионной игры “Своя игра”.
Весь пройденный материал делится на подтемы:
– общая информация и географическое положение;
– физическая география;
– население, города, языки;
– экономика;
– политическая система.
В каждой подтеме предлагается по 4 вопроса разной сложности, за которые выставляется от 10 до 40 баллов. Игроки не видят вопросов, они выбирают подтему и сложность вопроса. Например, они говорят: “Экономика за 20”, и им проецируется на экран вопрос. Если ученик правильно отвечает на вопрос, он набирает баллы и продолжает игру, если он ошибается, то баллы списываются и очерёдность переходит другому. Задача учащихся – набрать как можно больше баллов.
В игре – 3 тура и финал. Победитель каждого тура выходит в финал. Из 3х финалистов выявляется победитель игры.
Ход урока-игры 1 тур. 1 вопрос – 10 баллов, 2 вопрос – 20 баллов, 3 вопрос – 30 баллов, 4 вопрос – 40 баллов.

Aims: To enlarge the knowledge of country studying materials; to develop reading, speaking skills; to develop giving their points of view.
Modular method of teaching: To organize pupil’s activities according to the tasks, to give them opportunities to work and mark themselves, to develop of using speaking etiquette. Innovation process: to organize pupils’ activities in order to control them though dialogue and communications; according to Modular teaching to enable students to work independently, to interest them and closely work of teachers with them.

Checking up home work: T: Please attention. I want to give you some posters and you have to write there one modal verb + one sentence, in this way we can practice last grammar “Modal verbs”. If you have finished, change with your posters and check them up.

T: Thank you very much. You are right. - Today we are going to make our trip to one of the most wonderful and unique countries in the world, the country with a rich history, the country of beautiful landscapes and lake districts, the country of ten provinces and three northern territories. The name of this country is CANADA!
Today we are going to speak about Canada.
Speaking part. At the beginning of the lesson I introduce students with the Modular method of teaching. I divide the class into three groups though the geometrical figures. , so that the symbol of Canada a maple - leaf I prepare such flashcards to choose leaders of these groups. Students free to choose one of the suggested task to do it in its own style. There could be a composition, a dialogue and a game. After doing the tasks they try to answer then they marked by leaders by another group’s leader.
T: Now we have triangle, square and circle groups. As you know each group has its leader, so let’s appoint the leader and he will mark your works at the end of the lesson. At the black - board you can see 3 tasks and each group need to choose one of the tasks and each student of the group does the same task himself.
Composition “A letter to my Canadian friend”
(Students have to write a letter using a speech etiquette)
Dialogue “Direction”
(students have to talk in modern speaking English)
Game “Speaker’s square” or “Report”
Control part. The teacher watches how the students working and try to help them if it is necessary. The first task: each student have to write and read his letter; the second task: students can change the title of the dialogue and read it in pairs; the third task: students free to choose one of the game and try to play it with the members of other groups.
Conclusion of the lesson: Listening triangles. Three leaders of each group: the first leader: Speaker - explains the theme of the lesson and give his own point of view; the second leader: Interviewer - gives more questions about the theme to the class; the third leader: Receptionist - asks the class if they like the lesson.
Marking part. SELF - ASSESSMENT. After conclusion of the lesson leaders try to mark all active students in his group, according to their way of answering and speaking skills.
